"Yeah, we're having a Halloween party at Izzy's condo," Edwin said, trying to persuade Brandon to go to this party. Brandon hates Halloween parties especially when they mocked a lot of real mythical creatures. He didn't tell Edwin or Austin, his best friends that he was half wolf and human because of his mother. He hasn't told anybody, and he wasn't trying to go to a party the mocks his people and others like him. In a world of hidden creatures everywhere, Halloween is the most offensive thing that the moral world ever made. Only a few creatures come out of Halloween, even though it's against the rules unless your half-human, so do it anyway. Mainly the trouble makers of the mythical world.
"No, I don't want to go. Weird things go down at Halloween parties" said Brandon. Brandon hasn't run into another werewolf-like himself and he wasn't trying to when they came out.
"You're going, what should I wear? A vampire or a werewolf?" Edwin asked pulling out two costumes. Brandon choked when he heard werewolf. He looked up from his phone he just unlocked to look at Edwin who was holding dog ears, t-shirt, and jeans.
"What is that your werewolf outfit," Brandon asked annoyed.
"I'm going for a Tyler Lautner look, Twilight, and stuff," Edwin said and Brandon just nodded his head.
"do you really think that werewolves walk around tight shirts and skinny jeans with a flannel," Brandon asked. "What does that matter, how would you know anything are you a werewolf, woof," Edwin said joking, aggravating Brandon. Brandon through let out a low growl making Edwin look over to Brandon.
"ALRIGHT, sorry, sorry, just come to the party. It's going to be weird if you don't come" Edwin said begging Brandon, swinging his arm side to side like a little kid.
"NO," Brandon said.
8 hours later ( 11 p.m.)
Music was blasting, some random EDM music for the punk group rather than the introverts like Brandon. Edwin walked in with his Dracula outfit with blood running down the side of his mouth.
"I look cool, don't I?" Edwin said smiling. "everybody is staring" Edwin continues like it's a good thing. They were on the top floor of this building and the city view of Los Angeles was beautiful. Brandon was so attracted to it that he ignored Edwin's question a soon left him the crowd. The lights were on the darker side so Brandon couldn't see clearly in the room, all he could notice was the bright lights outside the window so he stood next to the only thing he could see for a minute. Better songs were being played some slow dancing songs and Brandon watched as everybody dance, drunk, and mingled.
Brandon was just daydreaming at this point until he heard something "LOOK" a deep voice said.
Brandon froze, maybe it was his hyper hearing but that couldn't be the excuse the second time.
"LOOK over here" the voice demanded, Brandon's eyes wandered the whole room trying to find the voice frantically. Brandon couldn't find the voice and it was annoying him. He doesn't usually use his given sense from being a werewolf but times like these, that messed with his head. He couldn't help it. One problem is when he uses his power he tends to change.
Nothing big, just glowing yellow eyes (beta colored).
He figured it's Halloween, who's going to care, everybody would think it's a costume. He let his real eyes show looking through the crowd. His eyes let him see whose human and who's not. He looks and scans the room quickly but for a flash, he came in contact with purple eyes.
"Can't find me, look harder?" the voice said in his head and he did but he couldn't find the pair no longer and it only sparked his wolf instinct to be more aggressive angrier. He begins to huff and breathes heavily causing his shift to show more than his eyes but his growing fangs. The angrier the more he shifts.
