"Whatchu think bout the movie?" I asked Kamari.
"It was aight."
"Aight? Just aight. Nigga you trippin'."
"Guhh bye. You wanna go to tha mall?" He asked and I shook my head.
"Let's just go to my house." I suggested.
"Aight c'mon." He said and we walked to the parking lot.
He opened the passenger door for me and walked around to his side.
I connected my phone to his car and started playing Red Lights by Toosii2x.

"STREET! WE AIN'T STOPPING AT NO RED LIGHTS, THEY GON NEED UMBRELLAS WHEN IT RAIN WE SPINNING EVERY NIGHT!" I yelled.
Kamari looked over at me and chuckled. We played different songs and sang all the way to my house.
We got to my house and I unlocked the door and we went inside. I turned on the lights and told Kamari to get comfortable. I turned on the TV putting on Netflix.
"Wanna order some pizza and wings?" I asked and he nodded.
"Why you ain't neva talk?" I asked him as I went on the Papa John's website.
"I'm talking right na."
"No nigga that's not what I meant."
"So whatchu mean?"
"Like when I first met you, yeen talk ta me at all."
"Ion know, I was quiet the whole time that day."
"Boy."
"When's the food coming?" As soon as he asked that, the doorbell rang and I stood up to get it.
We shared the pizza and the wings equally and continued watching TV. Before we knew we were out like a light.

I woke up and saw my mom on the other couch watching Jerry Springer.
"This lil bitch bout dumb as a brick." I heard her mumble.
"Hey ma." I groaned.
"Hey honey. You hungry? I brought some seafood."
"Thanks." I looked to my side and Kamari wasn't there anymore.
"He left when I came in. He said text him when you wake up." She said and I nodded.
I went upstairs to my room and brushed my teeth. I grabbed my phone seeing it was now 7:38 PM.
Damn I slept that long.
I decided to text Kamari.
Me why didn't u wake me up when u were leaving??
He replied almost immediately.

I smiled and put my phone down, quickly changing to my PJ's. I then went back down and decided to watch TV with my mom.
I laid my head on her shoulder and she rested her head on my head.
"So you and that boy. What's his name? Kamiri? Kamari?" She asked.
"Kamari mama and no there's nothing goin on. We literally just met."
"Mhmm lemme find out."
"Yeen finding out shi-stuff mama." I corrected myself before she could hit me.
