Alex's P.O.V

"What have you found so far?"

"Well... there is a rumour going around about a girl who is really valuable, apparently she has a lot of money no one can get to."

"Valuable? That wouldn't be her, Katie's father thought his money was too dangerous to leave with them. Anything else going around?"

"But Alex shouldn't we just look into it?"

"It won't lead us anywhere like all the other rumours!" I sighed frustratedly. I touched the cold chain necklace on my neck, if they saw me wearing this butterfly necklace they'd probably all laugh but it means so much more than they think.

"We'll keep looking we're bound to find out something soon."

Katies P.O.V

"Please don't make me go, I'll do anything. I promise I won't talk to Marco anymore." I was begging Matteo to stay at this point.

"Bit late for that now." I wanted to cry when he said that. I saw the way Rafael's leering eyes looked at me, and the thought of being with him made me sick. I sank to the floor and placed my head against my knees. I felt completely helpless, it was a feeling I have felt a lot since everything happened and I just wanted control over my life again.

"Get up and clean my room for me." He says and surprisingly his tone was not harsh. I was very confused and I slowly looked up. "You're not going, now get up before I change my mind."

I knew that I needed to tell him that Rafael had been lying to him before he changed his mind and tried to send me to him again. I grabbed his arm and yanked him into the bathroom. I checked everywhere during my cleaning there were no cameras in here. He grabbed me by my wrists.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? Another one of your escape attempts?" He looked around me probably trying to see if I had a weapon or something.

"Matteo, I need to tell you something." He grabbed my jaw.

"You know we're going to be married soon, you're going to have to get used to being this close to me. After all, you pulled me in here." He placed his hands around my waist.

"Rafael isn't my ex. He stole the necklace." I blurted out before he got any more closer to me. I felt his hands tense up.

"Are you helping him?!" He looked furious.

"No, I couldn't tell you because he has cameras set up all over the house." He seemed to start to calm down.

"I need to get Lorenzo." He turned around to leave.

"You have to pretend you don't know," I tell him.

He walks out and I follow after him, we walk all the way down to the first floor and then we come across a locked door I had never been in before. Matteo unlocks it and I follow him down a set of stairs. It was dark and cold but there was still an elegance to it like the rest of the house.

"Is there anything else you haven't told me?" He asks and I stop in my tracks.

"Well there is one thing...they found it because I told them where it was. I panicked."

"Just wait until Lorenzo hears. Things are not looking bright for you kitten." He says grimly and grabs my arm roughly. He throws into a room and before I know it, he shut the door.
