"They had to put you on strong medication so you could rest." Jaemin whispered, both of his hands clutching one of hers as he looked at her sleeping form.
"Yunhee-ah..." Jaemin trailed off, leaning his head on the side of the bed as he cried. "I'm so sorry."
Jaemin knew what was to come, but he wished it was all a dream.
And that's how it was for the next 4 days. Jaemin stayed by her side the whole time, he barely slept or even ate.
It was Thursday when the nurses came in to wake Yunhee up. It was Thursday- the day Jaemin dreaded.
With shaky hands, Jaemin placed an envelope on Yunhee's bedside table and choked back a sob as he leaned down to caress her cheek and place a long, meaningful kiss on her lips.
"I love you Yunhee."
And with that, Jaemin walked out of that room on that cold, rainy night, and didn't return.
