Ch. 33 "I'm sorry"

Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

"mmm, my head," I mumbled

as a headache was forming from my under age drinking, I slowly start to wake up and open my eyelids to the bright burning sun, I hissed in pain and closed them to not feel the light,

You just had to drink a bottle of whatever that was last night I thought,

I did not notice that my body was being carried by somebody on their back my head on their shoulder and arms looped around their neck loosely my eyes still closed listening to their conversation,

"you okay? is Ray getting heavy," I heard Klaus say

"I'm fine," I heard Stefan

I opened my eyes to adjust from the light and blinked back a few times I groaned,

Klaus chuckled with amusement "How's the hangover?" He asked

"Is that what this is?" I groaned

"That's why the drinking age is 21 love," Klaus said chuckling

"I can see why," I mumbled

My eyes analyzed my surroundings wondering where we are as if Klaus could read minds and gave me an answer,

"We're in the Smokey Mountains," Klaus said

I nodded and glanced at Stefan who was carrying a dead Ray on his shoulders I was going to question him if he was okay till Klaus interrupted,

"Do you remember anything form yesterday little wolf?" He asked

I know what he's talking about the 'I want it to stop' break down I thought but I decide I'm gonna lie,

"No nothing," I said

He paused but then dropped it,

"you sure you're fine? you know we've been walking for quite some time now if you need some water or a little sit-down..." Klaus said

"you know, I get that we're, uh.. we're stuck together but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, it'd be great," Stefan said

Klaus sighed "So much brooding your self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend" Klaus said

"Maybe it's cause I'm a little tired of hunting werewolves we've been at it all summer," Stefan said

"Yeah we haven't even got to go to summer camp," I said sounding disappointed

Klaus sounded as if he choked on air laughing,

We step in a clearing of people putting up tents and for for the full moon tonight, which I'm not looking forward to, I can't suppress it again or it will kill me so I have no choice to transform tonight and it's gonna be excruciating,

A pack of werewolves,

"Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack. there," Klaus said

Still on Klaus back Stefan moved forward which made everyone in the area to take notice of our presence he moved into the middle of the group and dropped Ray's dead body on the ground a short brown haired girl ran up to the body,

"Ray! oh my god what's going on?" She tried to wake him up but Ray was still unconscious

The girl looked at us in fear, "Who are you?" she asked
