Y/N POV

We have all had en exhausting day, with defeating Drago and checking out all the damage... which was a lot... and with the growing population, and I'm not talking dragons, we'll need to repair and build new and smarter houses.

-Gods, I could sleep for a week! Eret exclaims and we all stop in our tracks and turn to him.
-What? He asks. I look at Hiccup who shrugs at me.
-Ehm, you see... I begin and the others take a step back. I glare at them. I sigh.
-Since your history with dragons isn't exactly... ideal, for the Vikings here, we need to find somewhere you can stay, I say and twirl my fingers. Eret looks at us and laughs awkwardly.
-Why can't I just stay with one of you guys? He asks.
-House blown up, Fishlegs and the twins answer.
-Mourning, Hiccup says.
-Can't he stay with us then? I ask.
-No, he can't! Snotlout walks up to me and grabs my hand. I frown and shake it off.
-And why not? I ask.
-Because... Because... he's a boy! Snotlout excuses. I scoff and cross my arm.
-You're a boy... We share a room... I say.
-B-but He's you're age! He excuses again.
-So what? You think I'm just gonna, share a bed with every man my age? I ask. Snotlout turns red.
-N-no! He says.
-Exactly, and why not...? I ask.
-B-because I don't approve of it! Snotlout answers. I shake my head.
-No, because I don't sleep around with people, I say. Snotlout just stammers and points at me. I rise my eyebrow. When Snotlout doesn't stop stammering I sigh at him.
-Ok... Astrid, could you...? I ask. Astrid laughs and nods.
-Sure... C'mon big guy, I'll show you to my place, Astrid says and they begin walking away.
-W-wait, hold up, "big guy"!? Hiccup says and walks after Astrid, and I can hear her laugh from a couple of meters away. I shake my head and begin heading to my own home.
-Where do you think you're going? Snotlout shouts at me.
-Home, I say calmly.
-Oh... right... well, you go do that! He shouts and I can hear the embarrassment drop from his words. I shake my head and turn right, and head straight home. I think about the past Three days and about the death of our chief, and the dawning of our new one. I walk up the stairs and crash down on my own bed. I sigh and hug my pillow as a single tear rolls down my cheeks and it hits my pillow.
I calmly let more tears of exhaustion run free and I take deep breaths. I hear the door open and close from downstairs.
-Y/N? Are you home? I can hear moms voice. I smile and dry my tears.
-Yeah, I'm up here! I shout down the stairs. I'm so lucky to have people who still take care of me. Two pairs of feet are making their way upstairs. I laugh slightly as I see my mother almost sprint up to me and give me a big hug.
-Hi mom... I say into her shoulder. She lets go of me and she kisses my forehead.
-Hi honey... She says. My father walks up to me and hugs me tightly.
-I'm so proud of you, he says and lets go before patting my head. I smile and brush away a tear that falls from my eye.
-Thank you, I whisper. My parents smile at me and I try to brush away all the happy tears.
-So... that Eret boy... Dad says. My ears turn red and I face palm.
-Dad... I groan.
-What? I'm just asking... he says slyly and mom punches him in the chest.
-But no funny business! If he even thinks about hurting you, I will kill him! He says warningly. I laugh.
-Now I know where Snotlout gets it from, I say and laugh. Mom and dad looks curiously at me.
-He's been saying that for the past three days, I explain. Mom rolls her eyes and looks at my dad.
-That's my boy, he says and laughs until he notices my moms stare.
-I'm, uh, just going downstairs... see ya! He says and walks downstairs. My mother shakes her head. She then takes a seat next to me on my bed.
-Whatever... I think he's really handsome, and you could totally take a shot! Mom says. I punch her shoulder playfully.
-Mooom... I say and she laughs at me and stands up.
-Just saying! She says and heads for the stairs.
-Shut up! I say and throw a pillow after her. I can hear her laugh.
I get up and grab the pillow before smiling and crying if happiness to still be here, with my family and my friends...

A while after that, Snotlout arrived home and fell fast asleep in his bed. I smile at him as he snores loudly... god I missed those snores...
I sit back and lean against the headboard of my bed and I'm almost asleep, but;
-Y/N, you have a guest!
Mom shouts at me from down the stairs. I sigh and walk down the stairs. As I get there, I see Eret standing there.
-Hi Eret... What're you... What's going on? Are you ok? I ask in concern.
-Yeah, yeah, I'm alright! Eret reassures. I smile tiredly.
-I was just wondering if you could... I don't know, teach me how to fly? Eret asks and rubs his neck awkwardly. I lean amused at the door frame.
-I don't know, can I? I ask teasingly. Eret looks at me.
-It's to... Help rebuilding Berk... and I want to spend more time with you, Eret says quietly. But I heard him, clear as day. I smile reassuringly at him and put a hand on his large bicep.
-It's alright... I mean, I'm one of the few that's actually our age here. It would be nice to spend some time with someone my own age, I say. Eret smiles at me and grab my hand in his two large ones.
-Thank you, he says and brushes his lips with my hand. I smile and I feel myself blush. Something burns in my stomach... I can't really describe it, but it's weird... I choose to ignore it.
-Y/N, stop toying with the man and invite him for dinner! My mom shouts at me and Eret doubles over and tries not to audibly laugh. My blush deepens.
-Mom! I complain.
-What? She says innocently. I shake my head and Eret tries to cover his face with his hands that were still holding mine. I shake my head at him and drag him inside before closing the doors.
-Mom, dad, this is Eret. He saved my life, and I saved his too a couple of times, I say and Eret nudges me in the side. Mom grins as she watches our hands. Me and Eret look down and see that our hands are still intertwined, and we quickly let go of each other's hands.
-C'mon, dinner is almost ready. Mom says and sets us both down in two chairs, before walking away. I look at Eret and he laughs. I shake my head and nudge him in the chest.
-Snotlout! Mom shouts up the stairs.
Oh no...
