David Dobrik and his girlfriend Juniper were currently laid out in her bed, watching Jack Ryan with Nerf cuddled up in between them.
Usually, David wouldn't want a dog beside him but Nerf was his only exception, as he knew how much Juniper loved him.

Juniper had invited David to her and Jeff's apartment since Jeff was gone to Boston with Jason for three days, and Juniper had to take care of Nerf.

She herself was planning on talking to David finally about the Italy trip. She was a nervous wreck, trying her best to keep herself in order. But of course, it didn't go unnoticed by David.

The contestant zoning out, and vague responses from the girl only caused him to wonder what was going on in her mind.

David grabbed the remote that laid beside him on the pillow, and paused the show. "June, you good?" David furrowed his brows, sitting up and glancing down at the girl. "What? Yeah." Juniper blinked, her gaze lingering to David who held a look that said "Yeah right."

"Fine, no." Juniper sighed out.

No going back now.

She as well sat up, startling Nerf from his nap, before hopping onto her lap.
"What's up?" David asked, turning his body, and full attention on her.

"A couple weeks ago, Amanda called me. And she was telling me that she was able to get me a gig with Vogue for next month's issue, but there's one thing." Juniper mumbled, looking down at Nerf and petting the back of his ears.

"What is it? Because that's amazing news babe." David asked, confused as to why Juniper seemed stressed out.
"The issue would be taking place in Italy, so if I accept, I'd have to be over there for almost a month." Juniper said quietly, for some odd reason feeling tears well up in her eyes.

Just the thought of leaving her friends who she has become so close to, and David, who she was falling in love with. Now she didn't know if she wants to go.

"June," David mumbled, setting Nerf off Juniper's lap carefully so he can bring the girl in for an embrace. "It's so long Dave. But something I want so bad." Juniper sighed shakily, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Baby, Don't cry." David whispered. He didn't know what to think right now. Italy? A month?
It sounded almost impossible.

He was so happy for Juniper, and so proud of her, but he didn't exactly know how he felt about the whole thing.

Juniper clung onto David's shoulders, and hid her face in his neck. "And I'm scared on leaving you, I'll miss you so much." Juniper whimpered, pulling back from David and placing her hands on the sides of his face.

"I know June, but hey, this is something you've been wanting for so long." David said softly, setting his hand on the nape of her neck. "Yeah but-" "June this is so great. Don't worry about me, this is about you." David reassured.

Sure, he wasn't the biggest fan of the idea of her leaving but this was her dream, and such a big opportunity. He'd hate himself if he was the reason why she didn't pursue something so amazing for herself.

"Take the job, it's not like it's a year. Only a month. It'll go by so fast." David smiled softly down at the girl, who wiped the tear on her cheek.

"Yeah?" She asked, causing David to nod vigorously. "Yes! Yes, of course! My girlfriend's gonna be on freaking Vogue!" David chuckled out, hugging the girl tightly.

Juniper couldn't help but laugh softly at his excitement. She hugged him back tightly and grinned widely.

"I have to call Amanda." Juniper gasped softly, pulling back from David and grabbing her phone that was charging on the bedside table.

David watched her happily, as she excitedly clicked Amanda's contact, and told her the news. David could see the true excitement in her, and was truly happy for her.

In that very moment, David knew he loved her. He knew as he saw the passion Juniper poured out into her work, and the happiness as she told Amanda the news.

Seeing the perfect smile she held that never failed to make his heart flutter. Seeing her bounce around happily as she celebrated with Amanda over the phone made him laugh softly.

"Wait so when do we leave?" Juniper asked, sitting on the edge of the bed, feeling David crawl over to sit beside her. "Oh shit, really?" Juniper gaped, her eyebrows raising.

David furrowed his brows at her, as Juniper held her pointer finger up to tell him to wait a bit. "Uh okay, I'll see you then Manda'". Juniper said with a soft smile, before hanging the call up. "When do you have to go?" David asked, sitting on top of his knees, eager to know how long he had left until Juniper would have to leave.

"Two weeks." Juniper mumbled, looking straight ahead at the boy. "Oh wow." David slumped his shoulders, a sigh leaving his lips. Two weeks was not a lot of time, and he was scared it'd pass by in a heartbeat.

"I'm gonna miss you so much." Juniper sighed, walking to the foot of her bed and wrapping her arms around David's shoulder. "I'll miss you too, but it'll go by quickly." David reassured, wrapping his own arms around the girl's waist.

Juniper felt the very famous saying crawl up her throat, and she surprisingly wasn't scared to say it.

"I love you David."

"I love you too, Juniper."

School's been kicking my ass since I missed a bunch of days last week, and I have to get my math grade up, and finals are coming up, and I just feel like everyone is in there own state of panic, so bear with me for the last couple and probably the next couple of chapters that will be ugly heh okay bye -Jasmine
