A/N - This imagine is based on the song 'Better Half Of Me' by Tom Walker. It has really pretty lyrics which made me cry the first time I fully listened to them. It's a little short, but I hope you all enjoy it. P.S. In this imagine, Robb wins the War of the Five King's and puts Stannis on the Iron Throne.

After three years of missing your husband, he had finally returned home to you. Thirty-six months of sleeping alone in a cold bed. One hundred and fifty-six weeks of only hearing his voice in your head when you read the letters he wrote for you. One thousand and ninety-five days of wondering when you would get to see him again; picturing his expression over and over in your mind, in the hopes of bringing it into reality. And all of a sudden, none of that mattered.

When you heard rumours that Robb was coming home, you had thought they were lies. There was no way in Seven Hells that he would turn up at Winterfell without warning you of his arrival, or so you thought. But then you were told by a guard that his travelling party was less than a days ride away, and suddenly you were giddy with excitement.

The war was over. Robb's family were back together. And he was going to come home to you.

You'd spent the next twenty-four hours pacing the courtyard at random intervals, hoping to be there waiting for him as soon as he arrived.  You'd almost cried when you heard the sound of hooves on cobblestone, echoing a little way off. He was so close, and yet it still felt so surreal, as if the gates would open and the road would be empty.

When Robb finally reached the gates, you were smiling so sweetly at him that he felt his stomach turn over. Three years was a long time to be away from anyone, but when it was your wife it became even harder. Butterflies were to be expected, he reminded himself as a smile spread across his lips just from the sight of you.

He dismounted and was at your side in an instant, drawing you into a tight embrace, his breath catching in his throat as he inhaled deeply. Your smell was intoxicating, and something he hadn't been able to replicate when he was gone. It was sweet, and floral, and there was something so distinctly you about it that nothing had come close to reminding him of you.

"You're home," you uttered softly against his chest, arms tightening around his middle as he pulled you even closer to him. It was a stupid comment really, but it was all you could think of as your brain went wild, taking in anything and everything you could. Filling each and every sense with him.

"I'm home," he repeated in your ear, burrowing his face even further into your neck. "I missed you."

He heard you sniffle as your eyes filled with tears, so happy to have him with you again that the emotions had overflowed, escaping you in any way they could manage. "I missed you too," you murmured back as he pulled away from you.

The way he looked down at you was new. Of course, he had always gazed at you as though you were the most beautiful woman in the world, and he had always loved you, but this was something different. An appreciation that went far beyond appearance, and simplicities. A deep adoration that was so clear in his features that it left you breathless.

You leant up, connecting your lips to his in a gentle kiss. Gods, if the way he looked at you was good, the way he kissed you was from another world. It was as though he was pouring pure love from his lips to yours, his hands holding you close to him, caressing you so softly that it gave you goosebumps.

When you pulled away, your hand came up to your face, your fingers tracing across your lips as he smiled down at you. "Never leave again," you uttered, watching as his smile, somehow, grew even larger.

"I don't plan on it," he started, his hand coming up to graze your cheek, ever so gently. You leant into the touch, nuzzling into his skin like a greedy animal in desperate need of attention. Before he had left, you would have been embarrassed of showing your affection for one another so openly, but things had changed, and now there was no hesitation in your love for him.
