Queen's Guards_37:Hagar

"Ah Hagar, Magnar! Glad to see you could join us, you must try my cherry chock cookie." The Queen runs over to us and show us a plate of delicious looking cookies. "Don't mind if I do!" Magnar immediately grabs one and eats the whole cookie. "Mmmmm, delicious, I didn't know you could cook so well my queen." The queen blush and giggles. "Aahhw, that's so sweet. So Hagar, want to try one." Everyone looked at us like we've got two heads, why? I don't know.
"Sure my queen." I take a bite and I felt like I was going to die. Did Magnar really like this or was it just a fassade to keep him from upsetting the queen? If so, then he is a good actor.
She looks at me with those big violet eyes expecting a feedback. "It's quite a unique taste my queen." She squeals and rush over to hug Hades. "See they love my food." Hades kisses her forehead. "I'm glad for you love." It is still wierd to see him so lovingly towards someone. It is no secret that he is ruthless but just in his work and you never see him smile, until now. "Oh I can't wait to tell Chef!" and then she runs off somewhere.
Azreal places his hands on my shoulder. "Respect man, you survived." Magnar is confused. "Why?" Thanatos was the one to reply. "Her food is a death trap, the only one who's ever been able to eat it and like it is Hades shadow." No wonder they looked at us like we've grown two heads. "What are you talking about, her food is delicious!" Now it was my turn to look mortified. "You can't be serious Magnar?" He seems to genuinely like the queens food. "What? it is true." Sebastian laughed. "Great the answer to all our prayers!"Azreal yelled. The rest on the table agreed and I had no idea what they agreed on.
The Queen comes running out and sits next to Hades. "The chef will bring out the food in a moment. So.." Sha claps her hands. "Tell me about yourself."
I was the first to go. "Well I died about 3000 years ago, I became a guard in the afterlife and I've been building up to the rank of General Warrior. I love reading about war and strategies and uuhmm, I like the colour yellow."
"That's amazing, I've tried reading books about war. Never seem to finish them." She giggles and Sebastian scowls at her. "You always get distracted my lady." She pouts, "You have no proof." He rolls his eyes.
"What about your Magnar?" Magnar was more stressed than me. That much I could see. "I uhm, died about 1000 years ago, and I like the colour green. I had a wife, her name is Flaurine." Yeah he still can't handle authority.
"Hhhmm, you guys don't say much, but oh well I'll drill it out of you somehow." I'm sure we looked mortified. "Darling they will tell in their own time, don't pressure them." She pouts yet again and then the food arrives and she jumped in joy. "Oh goodie I am starving. Dig in everyone!"

We enjoyed a lovely meal and we are now back in our rooms.
I could say with certainty that should anything happen to Pandeia we will be as good as doomed. Not just me and Magnar the whole underworld will be in chaos and that is not good. It puts Pandeia in a very delicate situation. I understand why Hades appointed guards for her. "Don't look so worried." He jumped at the appearance of Sebastian. Sebastian just chuckled. "I want to give you your further instructions about her highness's schedule. Unlucky for you guys tomorrow is her off day so a bid you good luck." And he dissappear. Why would he wish us good luck on her off day?

"Lady Pandeia please wait don't run so fast!" Magnar screams with me following. We were out of breath. She has the energy of a toddler who just learned how to walk tenfolds. First she is busy with this, then she feels like doing something else en then runs off. We take our eyes away from her and she is gone.
I'm sure Hades will have our head one  way or another. The sun was high up in the sky and it was extremely hot today. "Oh it's lunch time! Let's go I want to see my Husband." She yells and then she runs back to the castle. "Does she know that she is pregnant? Running around like a mad woman." Magnar says, like me he is also out of breath and covered in sweat. "She should train the soldies in stamina, because she hasn't even shed one drop of sweat! How is that possible?"
We follow her back to the castle where she runs directly to Hades's office. I wanted to stop her for if he is in a meeting, but I was to late.
" Husband!" She throws the door open and Hades looks up from his paperwork. I look to the right and see another god, Ares. I've seen him, but I've never seen him smile like this moment. "Ari!" Pandeia smiles and hugs him and he pats her hair. I see Hades scowling at the hugging pair. "How is my little protégé?" She skips over to Hades and sit on his lap and I see how he places his hand protectively on Pandeia's stomach. "I am doing very good, Hades makes me so happy." She kisses Hades's cheek and I see a faint blush. I felt so, I don't know how, but seeing the underworld Lord blush is a wierd sight.
"Ha ha! As he should, but I will take my leave now, until next time Hades."  He waves goodbye and then dissappears.
"Why are you looking for me Darling?"
"I wanted to have lunch with you."
"Alright let me finish up and we can go." Pandeia stretched out and made herself comfortable on Hades's lap and soon enough she was asleep. Unbelievable.
"You two are excused, she will wake up tonight so there is no need to worry now. Thank you." He dismissed us and continued with his paperwork.  I had a feeling I was going to need my bed as well.
"I can't wait to rest." Magnar says and I agree. "Ah just the men I was looking for, please follow me." Sebastian appears and we follow him to an empty room. "This is a scenario stimulator. This is your training from now on. This allows multiple scenarios play through that might happen to her. You will fight enemies with alot of strength. This will prepare you in the events that should something happen to Pandeia that you are prepared. Good luck." And then Sebastian dissappears.
"Guess we can't rest." We say in disappointment as we get ready to begin our training.

I fall on my bed, my muscles are aching. Sebastian left out the fact that the pain we felt in the stimulator will reflect on our own bodies as well. There was no wounds, but he could feel where he had been hit. Sebastian kindly informed us that we will do this every night and every morning before Pandeia wakes up. This is not going to be easy, but this is what we have to do to keep her safe.
