Easton's POV: (Mature content in this chapter)

We spent the entire night working on the roster and paperwork I'd been meaning to catch up on. I made sure to keep anything Cobra related hidden away, but before I knew it Aubrey had my desk cleared and everything in nice, neat folders with everything labeled so I knew where to find things when I needed them.

She seems to be good at those kinds of things, I'm starting to think I should have hired her to work in the office rather than out the front at the bar where she has to deal with nasty drunks, and sleazy men.

After a few hours of sorting, she takes a seat on the couch and gets comfortable as she reads over some paperwork. "You know if you closed the business for two days of the week you'd save yourself some money."

"How is that?" I ask taking a seat next to her.

"If you look at the figures, you're making less money on a Monday and a Tuesday than what it's costing you in staff." She shows me the paperwork. "So really, it would benefit you to close on those two days and use the staff members from those days as extra hands on the weekends."

I take the paperwork from her hands and nod my head. "You're absolutely right."

"I'm always right." She smiles up at me

"You're smarter than I gave you credit for Miss Black."

"I'm sure you would have worked it out for yourself if you weren't always working and had time to look over things."

Standing up I place the paperwork down on the desk. "I'm going to have a cigarette and then I'll drive you home."

"Sounds good," she says in a sleepy voice as she rests her head on the back of the couch.

After my smoke, I enter the room once more to find her already fast asleep. I look at the time and it's 4 AM. I'm used to going out on benders and not sleeping for days, so for me 4 am is nothing, but Aubrey looks exhausted. I make my way over to the couch and sit down, placing my arm around her and she snuggles in close, her head on my chest.

I wake to the sound of a loud vacuum and rub my eyes tiredly. I look down at Aubrey who is asleep on my chest. Somehow I managed to fall asleep, and somehow I managed to lay down, Aubrey clearly coming with me as she's still snuggled in close.

I look up at the clock on the wall. 7 AM. The cleaners are here, which explains the vacuum. Aubrey begins to stir at the noise. "Morning," I whisper softly.

She opens her eyes and looks up at me. "Morning," she whispers back and lays her head back down my chest, then jumps back.

"Now that's the reaction I was waiting for." I give her my usual side smirk

She looks around the room for a moment and realizes where she is. "Shoot, we fell asleep."

"You before me." I laugh and sit up. "I was waiting for you to wake up so I could drive you home, and somehow I managed to fall asleep as well."

"You should have woken me."

"Why would I do that? You look so cute when you're sleeping."

"Stop that." she giggles a small blush appearing on her cheeks

"Come on, let's get you home." I stand up.

The drive to Aubreys home is short, and her home is exactly what I was expecting, it's small with a white picket fence, yet very well looked after and well kept.
