"I knew those faes were rotten to the core," my troops spat out and it made me cross my hands over my chest. I wanted to retort that, 'not all of the fae will betray you, we just had a truly horrible one in power.' Though I couldn't due to the fact that I don't want any pity in my troop's hearts when we go and slaughter them.

"We have pulled the werewolves back and are back to the planning boards on when we will be attacking." I looked out to all of their faces, their mouths were in a frown and all of them had their eyes on me. Even after all this time leading, which isn't much time at all, I still get nervous knowing that all of them have their trust in me. "It would be substantive to not have our allies walk into a bloodbath," I tried to joke.

There were a few chuckles, "what do we do now, my queen?" Someone asked me from within the crowd.

"There is nothing much you can do, besides to be prepared to pack all of your things and start moving again on second notice. We," I referred to the generals and myself, "are going to come up with a plan which will give us the upper hand on Kolgrims twin."

I saw them bob their heads, "alright, you are all dismissed, I wanted to inform you all in what is occurring, I will see you all at afternoon training." I Picked up the shield from off the ground beside me. The hairpin was already in my hair, and the pink flowers certainly looked beautiful compared to the grey skies above.

I was so exasperated still on the thought of Azai betrayal. I trusted him, he was considered a friend. A friend for a short while, but a friend never the less. I frowned at the thought.

I felt something wet hit my cheeks, then a familiar moonlight chuckle. I looked up and smiled, "you have no idea how close I was from slapping you on accident," I laughed leaning into him as he wrapped his arms around me.

"I understand how you feel," he sighed looking down at me, "Azai will never be forgiven from this. When I see him again, I'll make sure he doesn't walk away alive." Zaivinth growled out, it been a while since I've heard him angry.

"How do you think Xion is taking it?" I sighed, looking at the muddy ground as I followed Vince's lead to where ever he was walking to.

"Horrible," he said honestly. "I think he is taking it the worst out of all of us. He hides his true feelings behind that joyful smile. Though after all these years I've noticed, the larger his smile, the greater his pain." We looked up at each other and stared, I frowned.

"How sad."

The battle position was set. We would intercept them at the fallen runes of the goddess of the moon, just on the outskirts of the werewolf territory. Actually only a few miles away from the Olfie, the young Alpha's pack who I had met on the way to Meave's kingdom. I was sure that the warriors of the Willow Walkers were here, probably apart of the werewolf army, waiting yards ahead of us.

The dragons were still in their human form, my mate next to me, as we were crouched down behind a fallen white stone wall that had once stood tall, though eroded away by age. We sat hip to hip, my, no the woman's sword, in between my legs. My mate had his arms over his knees as he rested his head on them. I looked down the line to see all my other men digging fox holes into the ground just outside.

This was the plan.

Send in the werewolves, have them do some damage on the army of the undead, then have them retreat with little casualties into a fortified 'camp' of dragons, and we start the roasting on the squishes. Then we will have Herus' army come around the back in them to have a perfect example of a hammer and anvil outcome.
