You lie on the sofa in the Bangtan dorm, glancing at your phone to check the time.
Their flight landed an hour ago.
Your hand trembles.
How long has it been since the last Healing?
Four days?
Your vision swims a little, and you close your eyes.
You drift in the grey place between sleep and awake...
You jerk awake
when there's a mess of voices
and then the front door is beeping open.
Jin and Jimin appear from the hallway first,
their eyes widening as they see you collapsed on the sofa,
face pale and shivering.
You summon the strength to lift your head.
Jungkook stumbles past the door frame, and Hoseok is under Jungkook's shoulder,
propping him up, trying to keep him from tripping.
Jimin turns back to call " She's here, Jungkook."
Between the other guys, they manage Jungkook into the living room.
He slides to the floor as soon as he reaches the sofa.
You roll off the sofa and drop down to the floor, more than a little pathetic as you crawl two steps toward him,
and he reaches out to pull you into him,
into an embrace.
His breath is shaky
and his shoulders are limp,
his back bent.
