Jaden and Yusei had found themselves in a predicament.

“Well...the statue’s blocking the way...” Yusei murmured.

Jaden had tried pushing it, Yusei had tried pushing it, and yet it wouldn’t budge.

“What if we both pushed?”

“We already tried that.”

“Oh.”

Jaden sighed, scratching the back of his head and wishing for ideas. This statue was really bugging him – not only was it blocking the way but it was one of the statues from that ‘Death of the Individual’ painting again. He could’ve sworn that he’d seen these statues more than one hundred times.

“Maybe you try pulling it from the opposite end and I push?” Yusei suggested.

Jaden had to admit, it wasn’t a bad idea. “Let’s give it a go!”

With a lot of force, they managed to move the statue out of the way so they could proceed.

Jaden sighed deeply and stretched his arms, “That statue was heavy!”

“Yeah, it was.” Yusei agreed, opening the door and walking in.

Jaden went in after him and closed the door behind him. He looked around at all of the grey and dark colours. He was so used to bright colours of the gallery that he was almost shocked. Yusei was already way ahead of him and inspecting the paintings that depicted a bride and groom, so Jaden decided to stop day dreaming and catch up.

“The picture’s say that they’re both grieving...” Yusei said, pointing at the label.

Jaden only nodded and looked at the large statue-like hands behind him, that seemed to want to grab onto something by the way they were moving.

“What about the hands?” He asked.

“They belong to the bride,” Yusei explained, “It says so in their name.”

“I wonder why they’re grieving...” Jaden muttered.

“Beats me.” Yusei sighed before walking ahead.

Jaden had to run to catch up again – the gloominess of the place was distracting him easily. He saw Yusei staring at a painting of a cup of coffee and cake.

“Do you like coffee?”

“No, not really...” He replied, walking over to where Jaden was.

“I don’t either.” Jaden smiled and started to lead the way, leaving the man to follow him.

Jaden found it odd that Yusei and he had already bonded a little, even though they had just met. They should still be suspicious of each other, really, but it seemed that Yusei trusted Jaden and he wasn’t about to prove him wrong to do so.

On the other side of the corridor was a whole hallway of eyes on the floor.

Yusei was a little creeped out, “What is that?!

“Gross is what.”

“Why are there...eyes....on the floor?”

Jaden shrugged, and assumed it to be a message to turn around, so he grabbed Yusei’s wrist and turned him around with him. He went to a grey door and found it was unlocked, so he stepped inside without thinking.

In front of him lay a maze. He gulped, not really fond of mazes.

“Labyrinth,” Yusei read from a sign.
