This isn't like me.

To become bothered about some woman.

I've lived for hundreds of years not tempted by the flesh and now...

Just one glance, one touch and I want her.

Best to meditate, focus on my cultivation. I can overcome this.

Should I apologize? No... that would mean I was in the wrong. But it appears like I was.

Although a few days ago, I haven't seen that little maid anywhere. I've asked Gu Yi to fetch her for me.

Out of breath, Gu Yi tells me, "Sect Leader, Rong Xin is busy at the moment. How may I assist you?"

"She refused me?"

"Uh, Sect Leader. Please pay her no mind. She has dedicated a lot of her time to Captain Wu. I'm sure she is planning something to welcome him back."

"For Wu Jing?"

"She's in the fields now--"

I don't wait for Gu Yi to finish what he has to say. Teleporting to the fields, I spot the rebellious little creature playing in the mud.

"Got you!" She picks up the scaly mud fish, wrestling with it until she successfully puts into her straw carrier.

I walk over to her, stepping into the mushy water.

"Gu Yi? I told you I'm busy catching mud fish for Lord Wu. You can help Master with what he needs."

She's spending too much time with Wu Jing. This will not do. I still have to regain my memories.

"Since when have you become so close with Wu Jing?"

She turns around and sees that it's me. Her eyes grow big and she cried out, "It's you!"

She's about to lose her balance and land in the mud. I reach out to pull her up. With too much strength, she falls in my arms, grabbing onto my robes.

She quickly pushes me away.  "Don't— Don't touch me."

Really? As if I'd beg to be near her. She doesn't have any problem touching Wu Jing, but cannot stand my touch.

"Sorry. But I'm sure being this close in distance with Wu Jing is not a problem for you."

She waddles away from me, leaving me in the muddy field. When she reaches the dirty path, she turns around.

"Master, your clothes..."

I lift my body out of the mud, and float over to her side on the path.

"Why did you not come when I told you to?"

"Uh..."

"Don't forget that you are my maid."

"Well, tomorrow is Lord Wu's birthday! I wanted to cook mud fish for him. He told me when he was younger his dad made it for him. Did you not know, Master?"

I really didn't know. Maybe I did, but forgot.

"..."

"Really? How long have you been friends and you don't even care about his birthday..."

"We don't have that kind of friendship."

"Then just what kind of friendship is it that you two have?"

"We're comrades. Brothers in arms."
