Zim asked me to sleep next to him last night and so I climbed into the bed next to him and wrapped my arms around him, holding him against me. He almost immediately fell asleep and I followed minutes later.
     It was fine until now.
Hmm? My phone is going off. It sounds like dad's number.
I let go of Zim and grabbed my phone from my pocket.
     "Hello?"
"Son... I had an accident at work. I need you here right now."
"What about your team of scientists."
     "The accident ate them."
"Shit. Alright, I'm on my way."
     "Alright, son."
     Here we go.
     "Zim? I have to go."
     "No."
     "Whoa."
Zim rolled over and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me against him and burying his face in my chest.
"Sorry, Zim. But I got a call from dad. He needs my help."
     "Oh fine."
"If you stay out of trouble, Alien scum, then you'll be out of here and reeking havoc in no time."
"I do like the sound of that."
"But you have to stop trying to kill yourself to get out of here. Understand?"
"Yes, I get it, Dib-stink. Zim will behave and will see you when i get out."
     "You better, dude."
     "Be safe, human."
     "Eh, maybe."
Getting up, I put on my jacket and grabbed my backpack and then looked at Zim for a moment before walking out of the room.
     "Yo, Dib!"
     "Huh? Agent 234. Morning, dude."
"Morning. Where are you going? You said you could stay until three."
     "Dad called me home."
"Your dad? No he hasn't. His phone has not been active since yesterday."
     "Wh-What? That makes no sense."
     "Hmm."
"Has his office phone been active?"
     "Hold on."
He pulled out this small device thing that looked like a tablet but it had more buttons on the side and had two cranks and grip things for his hands.
He turned the crank and then pressed some buttons on the screen and I even heard a picture noise.
"Nope, sorry. The only recent activity was a call made to you and received by you this morning from your sister. She used the star eight two to block her number on your phone."
     "That little... arg."
"She doesn't like that you and Zim are a thing?"
"She does not. Thought she would be but that is not the case."
     "I can't believe her."
"Well, neither can I. She use to like that Tak girl before she disappeared."
"Tak was an alien bent on taking Zim's job to destroy the world. We took care of her. I guess she didn't take under the consideration that Zim's mission wasn't real."
"Ah. So you both fell in love with Aliens."
"And yet she has the gull to scold me for it? That's bullshit."
     "Excuse me, keep it down."
Hmm? Whoa. An alien squid. They are smaller than I thought. They are about as tall as Zim and I use to be. Sounds like a female... grey in color. Where is the voice coming from? I see no face-nevermind I see it.
     "Yeah."
"I am trying to get my child down for a nap. Quiet down."
     "Sorry Mrs. Harponshaggle."
"Quite right.  Thank you, 234. You, young recruit, have a lot to learn."
     "I guess I do."
Jeez, she is mean. At least she's going back to her room.
     "So-So, you still going home?"
"To make a big deal about it, yeah. That makes me so mad."
     "Get back here!"
     Hmm? That was Gir's voice.
Zim appeared in the doorway to his room and he looked dead at me.
     "Zim, what's wrong?"
"I could sense anger and I wasn't the cause. What is upsetting you, human?"
"My... don't worry about it. Get back to bed."
     "Are you sure?"
"Yes. I'm sure, Alien Scum. Get back in bed. I'll see you when you get out."
"Agent 234 is there an estimation time on my release date.
"From today you have 7-14 days."
     "Oh glorpsnot."
"You will be missing a rainstorm. And if I hear that you went outside I will beat you with a decorated stick and call you a piñata."
"Am I full of candy like a piñata?"
"If I ate aliens then you would be."
     "Oh. Gross."
     "Zim. I am serious."
"Alright, I'm going. Dib dumb can be so demanding."
"When it comes to your safety, I can never be too careful."
     "So you say."
"And make sure you eat something. Gir, make sure he eats something please."
     "Yes, sir."
     "Thank you."
     "Need a ride?"
     "Nope. New invention."
     "Really? Where?"
"In my bag. It's a morphing transportation."
     "A what?"
     "A teleporter."
     "Ah. Does it work?"
"No idea. I'm about to find out. Should be fun."
"Well be careful. Without you, we lose a reserve and a reason for Zim to live."
     "I know."
I pulled the phone looking remote from my bag and typed in the address to my house in and pressed enter.
The agent disappeared and I landed  in the front yard. I saw dad in the window to the kitchen and he was at the sink talking to the sink wash robot.
     "Yo dad."
     "Hmm?"
     Here he comes. Outside. Nice.
"Well hello, son. You are home early."
"I got a call earlier from you. You told me to come to your workplace and help you. A couple of searches later and I found out that Gaz had blocked her number and altered her voice or something to sound like you. She home?"
     "Calm down."
"That really makes me mad, dad. Why the hell did she do that?"
"I don't understand it either, son. But leave her alone."
"I just wanted to hang with my friend. This is bull."
     "Sorry, son."
"Not your fault. Need anything? I'm going on a walk after I check on the neighbor's house."
     "Nope."
     "Alright. I'll see you later."
     "At three, be back."
     "Got it."
I haven't checked on the house at all like I told the agents I would.
Crossing over to the house next door, I knocked on the door.
"Computer! Come to the door please."
The door instantly flew open and an arm shot out and grabbed me.
     "Dib. Have you seen Zim?"
     "Yes."
"How is he? Gir cut off all access I have to his cameras."
"Fine now. He'll be home within two weeks. Anything you need?"
"No. Thank you for stopping by."
     "Uh-huh."
"Wait stay. I need company. It's been almost a week since I've been occupied by anyone."
"Why don't you get in your mobile suit and come on a walk with me."
     "Really? Thank you, human Dib."
Even the computer refers to me as human Dib. What is this?
