Chapter 6: Walk the Inferno Path

~Cole's POV

Getting Kai to leave Lloyd's side was a complete bust. A minute before I had seen Kai laying next to Lloyd, I saw a line of fire outside Lloyd's window. Who is the only person who has a fire elemental power? Kai.

"Jay this isn't a good sign." I said nervously.

"Kai wouldn't hurt Lloyd. Man your over reacting" He said.

"Dude how am I over reacting. Did you not just see an entire line of fire that could have burned Lloyd?" I whisper shouted.

"Duh I'm not blind. I can see perfectly. But remember when we were in the tournament of elements and there was more than one form of fire. It could have been ANY fire power" He exclaimed.

"Jay.. HOW MANY FORMS OF FIRE ARE THERE!?!" I shouted.

Just then Jay and I froze. We turned around and saw Kai standing in the doorway of Lloyd's room.

"Guys why are you standing right in front of Lloyd's room when we are trying to sleep?"

I could tell Kai was extremely angry with us.

~Jay's POV

The minute Kai questioned why we were here I dashed down the hallway to my room, locked my door, and pushed a table up to my door.

I thought for a second there I was going to be dead meat with Kai. Oh that couldn't happen tonight.. Wait what?

I saw the line of fire outside of my window now. It wasn't at Lloyd's room anymore? Or could it be...

I quickly pushed the table out of my way and unlocked my door so I could find Cole. I checked his room, checked the kitchen, checked the dojo and he was nowhere to be found.

"Oh no." I said to myself.

I ran to Zane's room next and I was lucky because he was there in his bed asleep.

I began to walk towards his bed to try and wake him up but it's hard to wake a nindroid up. I knew exactly what to do.

"ZANE WE ARE IN GREAT DANGER!" I yelled.

Zane immediately woke up and jumped up when he heard the words of danger.

"Where is the danger Jay?" He asked.

"Listen, I need you to come with me RIGHT NOW" I yelled.

"Okay, lead the way."

We walked back to my room where I had seen the entire line of fire like Cole did and Zane was perplexed and had no idea what was going on.

"Is Kai out there training?" He asked.

I sighed.

"Well Zane, I need to tell you what's really going on.." I said.

I explained the entire story from beginning to end. How Lloyd felt tugging at his feet that one night and requested Cole to stay with him because Kai was too over protective. How Cole and Lloyd witnessed the fire. How I tried getting Kai to stay in his room and how Kai managed to get back into Lloyd's room

"And this all happened in two nights?" Zane asked.

"Yeah! And in all I didn't have the first hand experience of witnessing the fire until it appeared in my room just now."

Zane approached my window opening it and melting half of the fire so we could walk to where it lead too.

"Let's go quick before anyone see's us." He said

I nodded and followed Zane down his ice path nearly slipping and almost every step. As we approached the end I began to slip faster until..

"AHHH IT'S SO HOT!!!" I screamed

Zane grabbed a hold of me before I fell into the fire. Shucks it burned the end of my ninja suit.

Zane examined where the fire lead too and saw it leading into a mysterious warehouse.

"There must be something inside, but it seems to dangerous to enter." Zane said.

"Oh come on! We came all this way, we HAVE to go inside now!" I said.

"We need to tell Wu about this." He said.

"But..."

"No Jay, we need backup." Zane said.
