Chapter twenty

Ryder's alarm blaring from beside me woke me up "can you shut that thing up" I complained pulling the covers further up my body

"You do it" Ryder mutters

"I'll do it" I suddenly jump up when a very feminine voice pipes up

Moms to be exact

Ryder sits up beside me as shocked as I am

Mom tries to hide her smirk "at least ye didn't wake me up"

"Oh my god" I cover my face with my hands "it's not what you think"

"I'm not stupid Talia, just please tell me you used protection. You're on the pill right?"

"Uhhh" I drop myself back in the bed mortified

Ryder doesn't say anything, I'm pretty sure he was trying not to laugh

"Schools in an hour you guys should probably get up" she suggests before walking out

"Your moms the best"

I move my hands from my face, giving him my 'are you serious' face "what? You're joking"

He shakes his head looking back at me "I'm serious, my mom wouldn't even act like she cares whether or not I get up"

Something about the way Ryder says that, makes me think there's more to the story. There's something in his voice I can't decipher

"I'm sure she does"

He shrugs "Can I use your shower? Oh and can I get a ride to school I'm not in the mood to drive"

"Sure" I say and he walks out

Ryder's shower didn't take long so then I quickly done my morning routine. I left my straight hair down and decided on wearing a camo green crop top and matching tracksuits

When I got to the kitchen Ryder was sitting at the island scrolling through his phone. I grab an apple and leave an extra one beside him to eat on the way

"Ready?" I ask

He nods and stands up. When we get outside the morning sun hits me straight away and it was surprisingly really warm

"Awkward question but can you take a photo of me" I cringe at my words

He switches on his phone and I lean up against my moms car and do a few poses while Ryder takes photos

"Thank you" I say once he's finished

I park in my usual parking spot and we get out of my car. We go through the front doors when Cammy walks up to us a smirk on her face, with Helen not far behind her

"You're driving again? Looks like all you needed to do was to pretend to be traumatised to get Ryder to fuck you again. Then you'd magically get better" She snarls

I roll my eyes "I'm not doing this" I walk past her with Ryder beside me but he makes it further than I do when Cammy grabs my arm and thugs me back and releases me

"I mean look at your outfit you slut, you turn up to school with him the next day. I hope you told him about your other daddy issues"

"You bitch" I shout but don't raise my hand to hit her. If I even touch her, I already know the bitch will try to get me done for assault

Cammy instead raises her arm to hit me but Ryder steps on front of me "if you even look Talia's way again, I swear to god"

Her smirk only widens at this as she crosses her arms "Aww, I guess you haven't told him then otherwise it would disgust him to even say your name"
