Time passes by much quicker in Aurelia's senior year. Under the burden of homework and college applications along with the constant patrol and training with Clara, her sense of time has gone haywire (as did her sleep schedule). Sometimes, it passes slowly; other times, it just goes way too fast. It's a weird thing.

But with the passage of time, good things happen. As they're supposed to. As it has been written in Aurelia's fortune. As the Phoenix demands so. Fortune favors the brave or so they say. But life is not all sunshine and roses and fields of tulips. With the year slowly passing by, small fractures have started to appear between Clara and Aurelia, like boundaries slowly pushing them away from each other. It's not fully happened yet, but the way they argued, once a week, things looked rather bleak for the aunt-niece duo.

One, everything can be put down to Aurelia being over-dramatic about things. (She's a teenager and she needs her freedom). Two, she's a teenager who is also a powerful sorcerer. Three, she's a teenage sidekick to a superhero who's in love with her best friend (not Donna - she loves her like a sister) who also happens to be a sidekick. And four? Aurelia Hall is tired of living under her aunt's shadow all the time.

Expectations increase, especially when her aunt is not just one of the best sorcerers, but also a great photographer. Probably one of the most in demand here, in Ann Arbor. Not that Aurelia's jealous. But all these expectations make her slightly bitter.
