All of a sudden, Corey felt something changing within him. He realized in an instant that without the stone, his deer camo would no longer work. Which meant that Bambi would see his brother in his true state for the first time. Immediately, Corey felt a great pain as his spine realigned to be that of a human.

“Brother?!” Bambi yelled, completely frazzled at Corey’s sudden change. In this moment, Corey realized his cover was blown, but that was the least of his worries by far-though he found himself quickly conceding that he was still worried about the safety of his interdimensional friends. But his biggest worry was reality itself.

Corey’s antlers disappeared, his skin fleshing out. A great light emanated from his body, and when it cleared, Corey was back in the original camo outfit that he had worn to begin with, otherwise in his human form.

“Who are you?!” Bambi’s voice changed from concerned to a surprised mix of anger and fear. As he turned to look towards his interdimensional brother, he noticed that Faline had since gotten a bit too close to the young Prince, and for good reason: Man was in the forest, and he was less than ten feet from them.

“I’m that deer that taught you about courage!” Corey pleaded, hoping against normal logic that they still understood the English language. It seemed, though, that they could.

“How? You can’t be him!” The voice of the young prince came, clearly still unsure if what he had just seen was real. Corey was struck silent, but before he could attempt to convince Bambi that he was in fact the same fawn that had dropped in and insulted Ronno, the sky cracked. “What is that?!”

Corey turned to see the fissure.

“Damn! It’s starting!”

“What do you mean?! …Hey, maybe you know what’s going on…”

“Bambi, don’t!” Faline said.

“Corey seemed to know what was going on, and now, he does as well…” Bambi replied, using what reasoning he had.

“…That’s right, Bambi. Listen, my cousin, Kayla, and I should not even be here.” Corey started. “The reason why I’m here is to stop something like this from happening…Reality is ripping apart. It’s only a matter of time now…”

“Matter of time until what? What’s going to happen?”

The boy was once again interrupted. The sky itself seemed to shatter, and soon, the ground dissolved into nothingness. The three screamed as they were pulled into the swirling vortex that had formed beneath their feet. Corey heard Kayla’s scream and knew that she too had been pulled in.

A brilliant flash of light soon filled his eyes, and when it cleared, he realized he was nowhere in the vicinity of Bambi’s forest anymore. He looked around.

The sky was now changing colors via irregular movement, reflecting the color of the Dimensional Stones that had caused this distortion-red, blue, green, brown, and white. It reminded Corey of all the “acid-trip” effects that he had seen on TV and on certain videos on YouTube. He looked behind him again, and saw that Bambi and Faline were lying on top of each other, stunned from the ordeal. At his feet, was a grassy platform, probably floating in the middle of this dead space. About thirty feet off to his left, he spotted Kayla, still in her deer form, off to the side. She looked as though she had been roughed up a bit.

When he looked to his right, about fifteen feet away, was a familiar figure. He had blond hair, and was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. He wore white shoes. Unlike Corey’s sedentary figure, it was clear that this boy cared about staying physically fit, even having a very slight build.
