Just like my birthday, Christmas went downhill with the quickness however, Kentrell and I managed to keep things as normal as possible for Kemoni and Nasir. We ended up going back to my moms house today for Christmas dinner and even though I wasn't up for anything at all anymore, we still came
"It's me!" Kemoni yelled as we walked into the living room, meeting everybody's smiling faces. I put Nasir down and fixed his shirt while Kentrell did the same to Kemoni
"There goes the drama queen" momma joked while Kemoni went straight to kaleb. Nasir on the other hand turned right back around and reached for Kentrell
"Well merry Christmas to yall" Lena told us, patting Kennedi's back
"Hey" I dryly responded while Kentrell took a seat with nasir. I know everybody knew something was up but honestly I didn't wanna talk about it
"Come on Kemoni. Let's go see what you got over here for Christmas" Derek told Kemoni, who looked up at him with a smile. Derek stood up and grabbed Nasir from Kentrell then both Kaleb and Kemoni followed behind him down the long hallway probably to the toy room. Once the kids were gone they all looked at me for some reason
"What happened now?" Liyah blurted out, seeming impatient to see if we were gonna say anything. I just shook my head
"Nothing. I just gotta little cold so I'm not feeling too good right now"
"You want me to make you some tea or something?" Momma asked and I shook my head
"No I'm good"
"A little cold might be another word for a little baby. It been a minute since she hit us with one of them surprises" Dana joined the conversation, actually looking up from her phone and I kissed my teeth while they all laughed
"Shut up. I am not pregnant"
"I mean are you sure?" Momma asked "your face does seem a little fat now"
"Ma!" I frowned and she laughed again while Kentrell's phone started going off from multiple messages. After about the 5th one I actually focused my attention into him
"Who is that?"
He just shrugged, not even bothering to look at the messages or over at me. He just slouched back in the chair with his arm draped across his face
"Kentrell you alright?" Elena asked. My momma obviously didn't like seeing Kentrell in his feelings either so she stood up and sat beside him
"What did Noel do this time?"
I rolled my eyes and Kentrell laughed
"It actually ain't me this time so stop"
"Well what is it?" Lena asked. Kentrell sighed and I patted his lap before standing up
"Kentrell you can tell em"
He quickly moved his arm from over his face but I had already walked off, going outside to the huge backyard. The minute I closed the door behind me I felt the tears start to fall, something I didn't want them to see, so I sat on the steps and wiped the tears even though they continued to fall
This month was just too emotional and entirely too much has been going on. Even though I knew it was gonna be a possibility that Kentrell was gonna be that boys father, I still never mentally prepared myself for this
"Oh my god" I huffed and crossed my arms over my knees. Being outside wasn't helping with my cold any but I just wanted to breathe
