"YOU READY, SWEETHEART?" FOUR QUESTIONED AS hecroucheddown, priming himself up for a piggyback andknowing fullywell that she was not nor ever would be ready. Zero exhaled slowly, shaking her body a little as if she was shrugging off the anxiety. But, of course, that gulf of dread remained. The girl hopped up onto his back and hissed in agony when her hands collided to grapple on. She dropped back to her feet.
