ADRIAN MARTIN, MUCH LIKE HIS OLDER SISTER, LYDIA, HAD QUITE THE REPUTATION AROUND BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL. He was a troublemaker who, from an outside perspective, looked like he had it all. He was a star lacrosse player, born into a rich family, who had no problem attracting pretty girls. Heck, even kids like Jackson Whittemore tolerated him. What's not to love?

Adrian liked how he lived. He wasn't a loser, and that was all that he frankly cared about. Being big brained and on the same level of intelligence as people like Stiles Stilinski, Scott McCall, and even his best friend, Toby Valack, just didn't matter to him. His sister hid her intellectuality like it was some disease; a tactic he himself had observed and picked up on over the years.

Adrian Martin knew he didn't have the brains like Lydia; his test scores could tell you that easily. What he had — or what many believed he had — was his confidence and pride. And, don't get me wrong, he indeed had a lot of that . . . but, sadly, it wasn't always for the best reasons.

Adrian Martin was a boy lost in his masculinity. In his eyes, he needed no one but himself. If the people in his life were to suddenly leave him, so be it. It's every man for himself.
