My Own Science (Dr Stone Senku x reader)

The new and improved Kingdom of Science started to build the foundations for the boat. Everyone put their weight into it, it was nice to watch.
You on the other hand, packed up and got ready to get your instruments. You also thought of maybe get a small team to work on building a storehouse later. Because of course, they will be more of them to come and you won't be able to fit them all in your little house.
You asked Ukyo to accompany you for the way, and Gen joined you guys. He said you'd need him because he knew the way better than anyone, and though he wasn't wrong, you knew it was just an excuse so he wouldn't have to work on the boat some more.

You left before Senku went to that reporter woman and asked her to find him a captain.
"I'm kinda bummed out that we won't get to meet them..." you said on the way to the village.
"We'll get the chance once we're back." Ukyo smiled.
"I'm sure they'll be cool!"
"Though it won't be Senku-chan's priority." Gen said. "He'll only get the best of the best, regardless of their personality."

"Oh my god, I'm picturing an old guy, a stature kinda like Kaseki's, but he's really tall, like the big pirate cliche! And he's really stoic towards everyone and he can be really scary, but deep down he's just sad his wife is dead!" you cupped your face in your hands. "Ah~ so cool and sad!"
"Don't tell me this would turn into another Tsukasa situation." Ukyo said.
"Eww! No! He could be my grandpa!"
"You said that as if they're already here." Gen said while Ukyo laughed.

When the three of you got to the village, you noticed some big dark clouds in the distance. Not too long after did you get a phone call from Senku telling you guys to get ready for a big storm coming in.
"Did you guys move the drumset to my place?" you asked.
"Yeah don't worry. We also plan on building a storehouse for your instruments later."
'Oh my god~ I haven't even asked him!' your heart skipped a beat.

You guys fortified the houses' roof and when the storm came, the three of you waited in Chrome's shed for the sky to clear.
Gen told you about this sleight of hand called 'forcing'. He presented five cards to you and it was now your fifth attempt to besting him at this game. You kept looking back in forth from the cards to his face, his smile still unchanged. You narrowed your eyes, your hand hovering over the cards. It stopped above the one on the far right, then you suddenly picked the one on the far left.

"Got 'cha-Dammit!" you shouted, checking the card to see the joker again.
The two young men laughed. You slapped the cards away from his hand, Gen yelped in surprise while Ukyo kept giggling.

"Ukyo you do it!"
"I'd rather not."
"Do it! Since you're soooo great!"
"I never said that."
"You're such a sore loser (Y/n)-chan~."
"Wha-you're the one who cheats! That's the point of this game! We're supposed to get through your weasel-scheme!"
"Weasel?!"
"Calm down." Ukyo casually sat down. "I'll play one round."

You huffed and folded your arms while Gen folded the cards again. Ukyo took only a short moment to chose his card, just hoping that you'd all move on once he quickly got his turn. You and him looked at it and both your faces light up, gasping.
"WHAT~?!" you shouted with your hands on your head.
"I got it, on the first try!" Ukyo exclaimed, pointing at his card.
"Ukyo you genius boy!"
Gen giggled at your guys' childish wonder, knowing he let him win on purpose.

After the storm stopped and you checked if no damage was done, you and the boys walked back to the Kingdom of Science. Already the foundations for the boat were ready.
"Man, this is already coming together." you said.
"(Y/n)-chan, can we move along?" Gen said, reajusting the djembe in his arms. "This is getting heavy~."
"Ah! Ukyo!"

Gen just put the djembe down, figuring you guys won't move for a while as Chrome walked over, followed by Senku and Kohaku.
"We need your ultimate hearing!" Chrome told him. "The Chrome excavation team is going on an expedition!"
"Sure." he nodded.
"Senku, is the storehouse done?" you asked.
He shook his head. Which means you'll have to help with that.
"Aw man. I wanted to go too..."
"Don't be sad! Focus on the entertainement departement!" Chrome smiled. "And just so you know, no one could replace you, Second (Y/n)."
You placed a hand on your heart.
"Chief!"
