Harry woke up on the morning of September 1st buzzing with nervous excitement. Today was the day he started school and he's been waffling between his nerves and his excitement. He read all his books, and even the books for the next two years, Uncle Luc and Auntie Cissy (they told him that his paternal grandmother was one of Narcissa's aunts and that made them related; as such they wanted to be called Aunt and Uncle) had given him lessons on simple magic and spells. Draco happily informed him that there was a special ward in place that allowed him and Tom, as well as their friends, to use their magic outside of school without getting in trouble.

They also began teaching something called Occlumency, which was a special branch of magic that protected his mind from someone trying to read it. So every day during his lessons and before bed, he would meditate, practice clearing his mind and trying to build a wall. He wasn't sure how good he was, but Draco and Tom assured him that while someone with better skills or a master could still read his mind, someone who was new or at the same level as him would find it hard or impossible. They also taught him how to write with a quill and taught him etiquette, basic Wizarding costumes, controlling his emotions (this was helped further with a Mind Healer's aid) so no one could manipulate his emotions and a few other things that would prepare him from both the Magical and Muggle fronts of dealing with others.

They spoke of the classes and the teachers -Uncle Luc was on the Board of Governors, who helped to pick the classes and teachers, but the Headmaster kept denying them-, told him who was friendly and who to watch out for. They weren't overly fond of the Headmaster, keeping their bad mouthing to a minimum, though Harry could tell it made them very displeased to speak even remotely civil about the man.

He didn't like the sound of him, he sounded like his old primary principal, Mr. Hiltz. The man always seemed to be so nice, but for some reason people who were very nice or did a good job would be fired, while bad teachers kept their jobs. Sometimes he would speak as if he were an Uncle, but somehow you always felt bad or did what he wanted even if you knew you didn't want to or disliked it. Thankfully someone had told someone and he was removed, but he didn't know who the new principal was because he was going to Hogwarts.

Shaking his head, Harry got out of bed and went to his dresser to pull out his clothes for the day and went to set the shower up. As he did this, Enperadorea awoke and slithered into the bathroom and into the shower. He giggled at his scaly friend as he finished brushing his teeth and washing his face. Getting naked he climbed into the shower to wash. Enperadorea closed his eyes, never looking at the child as he washed; Harry had asked about it once and Enperadorea told him it was because it was inappropriate for him to look at his body while naked. Which was a little weird because with Nagini, whenever she was bathing with him or Tom, she never looked away, same with Naragi. Oh well.

He finished his shower, having quickly washed Enperadorea, and then dried them both before he got dressed. Heading out into the main room of his rooms, he saw Dobby carefully packing up his last minute items and smiled at the House Elf.

"Thank you, Dobby. Did you pick up the extra treats and pet care items for me?" He wondered, walking over to the Elf.

"Yessing sir!" He smiled brightly, he was a bit overzealous and was a bit eccentric, but Harry knew he meant well. "Dobby has picked ups the nummy treaties for little beasties!" He nodded. "And got the Muggy thingies Young Master Harry uses to makings translatings ear wear!!"

"Oh, thank you!" Harry smiled. "Is Draco and Tom up yet?"

"Young Masters awakings! Readies they are for Hoggywarts!" He nodded. "Dobby will be checkings trunks as well, packings ups, yes!"
