In honor of Hailee releasing new music (FINALLY!). You should check out her new song. It's really good. Enjoy! 😊

Y/n's POV

Your phone ringing woke you up from your sleep. With half closed eyes you reached for it. "Y/n", I mumbled. "Did you listen to it", my best friend yelled. "The fuck don't scream! What should I listen to", I replied. "Hailee's new song", she told you. You sighed. "No", you whispered your voice cracking in the process. Hailee and you broke up over a misunderstanding three months ago. She accused you of cheating even though you swore you didn't. You could never cheat on her because you love her. You tried everything to win her back but she was way to stubborn and hurt. So the past three months you mopped around trying to fill the hole in your heart.
"Well, I feel like you should", my best friend said. I nodded. "Listen, I believe you but you should get out of bed, take a nice shower, dress nice and drive over to her. What's the worst thing that can happen? You tried everything to win her back and if she believes the press or whoever is making this shit up more than you then it's her fault", she talked. I nodded again. "Maybe you're right", I spoke. "I'm always right. So get up, woman! Tell me how it went. I love you. You've got this", she said before hanging up. I let myself fall back in to my pillow. I unlocked my phone and looked up her new song. My finger hovered over the play button. I clicked play and Hailee's angelic voice filled my room.

[Verse 1]
I don't hate you
No, I couldn't if I wanted to
I just hate all the hurt that you put me through
And that I blame myself for letting you
Did you know I already knew?

[Pre-Chorus]
Couldn't even see you through the smoke
Lookin' back, I probably should have known
But I just wanted to believe that you were out sleepin' alone

[Chorus]
Loved me with your worst intentions
Didn't even stop to question
Every time you burned me down
Don't know how; for a moment it felt like heaven
Loved me with your worst intentions
Painted us a happy ending
Every time you burned me down
Don't know how; for a moment it felt like heaven

[Post-Chorus]
And it's so gut-wrenchin'
Fallin' in the wrong direction

[Verse 2]
On my tip-toes
But I still couldn't reach your ego
Guess I was crazy to give you my body, my mind
Don't know what I was thinkin' 'til now
Everyone thinks that you're somebody else
You even convinced yourself

[Pre-Chorus]
Couldn't even see you through the smoke
Lookin' back, I probably should have known
But I just wanted to believe that you were out sleepin' alone

[Chorus]
Loved me with your worst intentions
Didn't even stop to question
Every time you burned me down
Don't know how; for a moment it felt like heaven
Loved me with your worst intentions
Painted us a happy ending
Every time you burned me down
Don't know how; for a moment it felt like heaven

[Post-Chorus]
And it's so gut-wrenchin' (Ooh, ooh)
Fallin' in the wrong direction (Ooh, ooh)
How did you sweep me right off my feet?
Baby, I can't keep
Fallin' in the wrong direction
How did you sweep me right off my feet?
Right off my feet

[Pre-Chorus]
Couldn't even see you through the smoke
Lookin' back, I probably should have known
But I just wanted to believe that you were out sleepin' alone

[Chorus]
Loved me with your worst intentions
Didn't even stop to question (No)
Every time you burned me down (Me down)
Don't know how; for a moment it felt like heaven
Loved me with your worst intentions
Painted us a happy ending (Ooh)
Every time you burned me down (Me down)
Don't know how; for a moment, it felt like heaven

[Post-Chorus]
And it's so gut-wrenchin'
Fallin' in the wrong direction

Tears started to hit my screen and by the end of the song I was full on sobbing. She really believed them over me. I knew there was no chance of me and her being back together and that made me angry. Stupid media and stupid people! I whipped away my tears. Everybody thinks I'm a cheater. So that's it! But I only need one person to think otherwise and that is Hailee. I went out of bed and jumped in the shower. I got ready wearing some jeans and a grey Hoodie with Hailee's last name written on it. They think they can ruin my relationship! Not under my watch. I grabbed Hailee's birthday present which I bought a while back. A ring. An engagement ringg to be exact. I asked her dad for her hand. Her parents were so happy and supportive. They told me to go for it. I took a deep breath and got into my car. I drove to Hailee's house knowing a lot of her family and friends would be there but I didn't care. I just wanted her back. I stopped at a flower shop and brought her 23 roses.

I sat in my car. Breathing in and out before making my way to the door. I rang the doorbell hoping she would open. A little girl stood there. "Hey, are you looking for someone", she asked me. "Yeah, I was looking for Hailee", I told her. Suddenly I was pulled and pushed by four other kids into the house. "Uh maybe you should get her", I told them. "Hailee! Someone is here for you", they yelled. And before I could tell them to let me go and just get her, I ended up in the living room. It automatically went silent everybody watched me. Some of them with confusion and some with angry looks. I shuffled on my feet nervously. "What the heck are you doing here", True, Hailee's cousin, said harshly. I wanted to reply but I felt a presence next to me. I looked up and saw Hailee's dad. I took a step back. He was pretty big and tough. "Get out", he just spoke. I was shaking but shook my head no. "No! Not this time. I'm here to talk to Hailee", I told him straightening up. He took a step towards me. "Don't you think you caused her enough pain", he asked me. "I didn't! I'm here to talk to her! I would never cheat on your daughter. She means everything to me. You should know that because I asked for her hand in marriage and you gave me your
blessings", I replied. I heard some glass shatter and saw Hailee standing there.
Her big brown eyes looked at me in shock and surprise. "Hailee, please", I spoke and made a step towards her but she moved away. "Don't", she whispered tears falling down her pretty face. "I know you think that I cheated but I would never do that. I love you. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. You are the woman of my dreams. The one I want to spend the rest of my life with. The one I want to go to bed with at night and wake up with in the morning. You are the only one I want to kiss and hold and be with. There is and was and there definitely will be no one else. From the second that I saw you in Central Park I knew you are it. You are my forever! Please believe me, Haiz. Whatever they say it is not true. You know me. My dad left my mom for another woman. I would never cheat because of that. You know the real me. I would never lie to you. Please", I told her now being in front of her. "I saw the pictures", she just said. "I know. But we weren't that close. She asked me for directions to the next bus station. Her friends were near by waiting. I told her where  to go. That's it. We were never closer than us two right now. I promise. Here. I searched her on Instagram and sent her a message. She replied. If you want to read it", I replied. I gave her my phone. Her eyes scanned the messages. "She sent me a photo her friends took of us. You can see no kissing", I said. She gave it back to me with no reaction. "Hailee, please", I whispered. She shook her head looking down. I sighed fighting back the tears. „Alright. I leave my present on the table right there. I hope one day you can forgive me. My shift is from 9 am to 6 pm. I'm free on the weekend just in case you want to stop by whenever you feel it's the right time. I really wish you would come back. I miss you", I spoke quietly. I took her hand giving it a squeeze. „I love you",I whispered before turning around in my heels. I put the flowers and the velvet box on the table. I turned to her dad. „Thank you for not kicking me out", I told him. He nodded. I walked out to my car getting in. I stared at the steering wheel. I felt tears clouding my vision and the tough demeanor from a few minutes ago started to break. I hit the steering wheel. „Fuck", I screamed. I leaned my head down. Sobbing and not caring if anyone could see or hear me. I lost the best thing in my life.
A knock on my window startled me. Brown eyes locked with mine. Hailee!  I opened the door. „H-Hey", she stuttered. „Hey", I said whipping away my tears. „I miss you, too", she spoke up. I smiled. „And I'm sorry that I didn't believe you", she said and started crying. I jumped out of the car hugging her close. „No, it's ok. Don't cry", I whispered. She pulled us closer together and for the first time in three months I felt wholesome. Like the missing piece finally came back. She stopped crying and we just stood there hugging each other. „It's a yes from me", she suddenly said after a few minutes. I pulled away. „A yes for what", I asked confused. She held out her hand with the velvet box. I looked at her surprised. „W-What", I asked. „Just ask me", she said smiling. I took it from her. I went on one knee. „Hailee Steinfeld will you make me the happiest person in this Universe and be my wife for the rest of our lives", I asked the brunette. „Yes", she whispered and I shakily put the ring on her finger. „So that means we are good", I asked her uneasy. She just pulled me by my shirt towards her and connected our lips. My arms went around her neck bringing her closer. I missed her so much. She picked me up twirling us around. I giggled. „Yes. I'm sorry", she said. „I love you", I told her looking in to her eyes. „I love you, too", the brunette replied a few tears falling down. We pulled apart when we heard someone clear their throat. "Well, congratulations", Peter said hugging us. A few seconds later it was a big group hug.
I smiled up at Hailee finally having her back in my life. But this time forever.
