Shang Ke was still receiving treatment when Yonis arrived at the heavily guarded hospital. Through the monitoring glass, Yonis saw a young man lying on the operating table, his naked back gruesome and bloody. There were countless bruises on his arm but the most obvious one was the long scar on his waist. If Yonis wasn’t mistaken, that should be the scar Zeder received after being nearly beaten to death by his father when he was ten years old. After all these years, it still looked so ferocious, showing how badly hurt he was.
