Chapter 14: Teammate

Azure's P.O.V.

After a grueling food fight and a bath, I was finally done cleaning up. I was about to go to Ozpin's office before Ruby tugged on my hand and stopped me.

Ruby: "Are you going to be OK? What if it's something bad? What if we got you expelled because of the mess we made?" I looked at her eyes before giving her a kiss on the forehead and ruffled her hair, making her blush.

Azure: "It's fine, Petals. Ozpin said he wanted to talk to me about teams, so I'm sure it's nothing bad. And besides, even if I were to be expelled, I'll find a way to see you, no matter what. Hell, I'll even rise beyond the grave just to see you again if I have to. I'm just too stubborn to leave you alone. So, sorry, you're stuck with me." I said that last part jokingly. That seemed to do the trick as Ruby smiled and gave me a tight hug.

Ruby: "Ehehe... that was so cheesy... but I love it, and I love you. Thank you."

Azure: "Heh, who's the one being cheesy now?" I returned the hug. "And I love you too, Ruby."

Weiss: "Blegh, this display of affection is sickening."

Yang: "Hey, I think it's sweet. Still cheesy, though."

Blake: "Eh, it's way too sweet for me."

Azure: "Screw you, guys. You're just jealous you don't have anyone."

We all shared a laugh before Ruby and I released each other and I went to Ozpin's office.

Ozpin's Office.

Through the windows of Ozpin's office, several giant airships can be seen. Two people are looking at the display of military power. Then, the elevator door opened and I walked inside Ozpin's office.

Glynda: "Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work wherever he travels."

Azure: "Is he compensating for something?" Glynda glared at me. "Ok, shutting up now..."

Ozpin: "Well, running an academy and a military makes him a busy man. But yes, those are a bit of an eyesore."

Suddenly the alarm rang, signaling that someone was about to enter the room.

Ozpin: "Come in."

The door opened and revealed something I didn't expect or some people to be exact.

Ironwood: "Ozpin. So is this the one you told me about?" He pointed to me.

Penny: "Salutations!" My jaw almost literally dropped to the floor.

Azure: "Penny?! What?! How?! I have so many questions!"

Ozpin: "Hello, general and miss Polendina."

Ironwood: "Please, drop the formalities." Ozpin and Ironwood shook hands, meanwhile, I was still shocked that Penny showed up here.

Ironwood: "It's been too long. And Glynda! It has certainly been too long since we last met."

Glynda: "Oh James... I'll be outside." Denied.

Ironwood: "Well, she hasn't changed a bit."

Ozpin: "So, what in the world has brought you all the way down from Atlas? Aside from the matter with miss Polendina, of course." Ozpin poured a cup of coffee to a mug and gave it to Ironwood.

Ironwood: "Well, you know how much I love Vale this time of the year. Besides, with you hosting... I thought this might be a good opportunity for us to catch up."
