❏- Chapter Twelve
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳ ❝ you can't be happy everyday...

"Where are you seriously taking me?" Soobin asked as he lazily keeps up with her pace.

Yeji is still holding his hand, well after plenty of times trying to free his hand from hers --- he just gave up.

"Not far now." Yeji hummed.

They're currently walking along a field of flowers, the same one that Soobin saw on the car ride when he first arrived.

Homsang's currently leading the way, looking so enthusiastic about where they're going. Well, Yeji did say that it's their favorite place in the village so that explains it.

It's not everyday you get to see a field of flowers as the one he's currently staring at so he tried to memorize the breathtaking view in his head.

He knows that he probably won't be able to see it again after he has gone back to the city.

"Should I be scared now?" Soobin asked quietly but Yeji heard it quite clearly.

She giggled. "I don't know. Aren't you already scared of me anyways?"

Soobin frowned and shot her a look. "No. Why would I be scared of you?"

"I'm just kidding." Yeji chuckled. "I mean look at you---" She exclaims and points at him, "-and look at me." She points to herself. "You're a whole lot taller and stronger than me so I should be the scared one don't you think?"

"Well yes but you're the one dragging me to some unknown place so I don't think you're in the place to talk about being scared." Soobin deadpanned.

Yeji bursted out laughing, "There it is."

"The what?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.

"The frank, straight forward Soobin I first met." She grinned and shakes his hand that she's holding, "How have you been? I missed you."

"Tch shut up." Soobin mumbled.

Yeji didn't say anything else and just gestured at him that she's zipping her mouth shut.

She smiled at him and looked away the moment Soobin bit back a smile.

"Your favorite place here is an old abandoned building?" Soobin reluctantly asks as he looks at the two storey building in front of him that is apparently located at the end of the flower field.

"Yep. So will you add this to your list of weird things about me?" Yeji asks, moving her face closer to him.

"What? I don't have a li---" Soobin turns his head to look at her but was surprised to see her face so close.

His eyes are wide as he stares at her. It seems like she was not even flustered by their close proximity so he jerks his face away from hers quickly.

He cleared his throat as he fiddled with the hem of his shirt.

The blush creeping up his neck didn't go unnoticed to Yeji but she didn't say anything about it.

"Hey, do you know how to climb a tree?" She asked, walking over to a bike rack to tie Homsang's leash on it to prevent him from running away again.

"A tree?" Soobin paused, "I never even tried climbing one. Why?"

Yeji clapped her hands and beamed at him. "Great! I'll teach you how to, come on!"

He looked at her as she gestured at him to move towards the tree, a few steps away from the building.

"Uh I don't think that's a good idea." Soobin said, hesitantly walking towards the tree.
