---------------------------------

"Blakeeee" I whined as I tried removing his hands from eyes only to fail miserably and let out a puff of annoyance

"I'll let you see when he puts a shirt on" he grumbles keeping his hand in place

"We're watching Magic Mike!" I exclaimed, raising my hands up in exasperation, "They never have a shirt on"

"You can watch the movie with your auditory senses then" he chipped in causing me to let out a long annoyed breath before crossing my arms together in a childish manner

------------------------

"Call my assistant and tell her to email me the contracts and trade in diagrams before tonight" He spoke through the phone in a tone I haven't heard for quite some time

That same mono toned authoritative voice he once upon a time used to have with me

Slowly but surely, I could see the walls he had built disintegrate into fractions of glass replacing the once stone bricks. I loved seeing him like this

In the midst of my daydreaming, I felt my phone vibrate causing me to reach and pull it out only to see Taylor's name.

I looked up at Blake who was still on his phone call, waving my hands up to get his attention. His eyes turned to me as he raised an eyebrow in question

I turned screen over to him and pointed to my phone where it said Taylor and pointed at the door afterwords

He nodded his head as I exited the room and picked up the call

"Hi-"

"Mason asked me out on a date and I don't know if he means a date where the dessert is chocolate or where the dessert is me" she spoke frantically cutting me off

"I assume this date will be held at a church setting?" I jokingly asked, chuckling

Damn, I should be a comedian

I hear Taylor's obnoxious groan from the end of the line cutting my self praise short

"This is no time for your lame jokes, I'm freaking out over here" she whined, her syllables progressively getting longer

"Okay what exactly did he say?" I asked

"Well, that's the problem. See, I can't remember if he said he is taking me out to eat or if he said he is eating me out"

My nose scrunched up at the mere thought of that before a chill went down my spine

"Ew Taylor" I muttered before she hit me with the, 'oh, grow up'

"Just shave so that if it happens, you're prepared"

"But if I shave and he doesn't, i'm going to get mad" she rebutted in a known tone

"Why?" I asked scrunching my eyebrows together

"You know how much effort that shit is? Shaving every inch and all of that? I better get the fucking eating of my life if I spend my afternoon making it pretty" she deadpanned causing me to take a minute to process

Sometimes, I forget how straightforward she is

"Oh my God Taylor" I muttered face palming myself, "I don't know, ask him?"

"AsK hIm?" she mocks, "Oh yeaaaah, let me just go up to him like, 'Should I shave my bush or nah?' Are you insane!?" She yells through the phone as I throw my head back laughing

"Okay, okay" I said in surrender still chuckling, "Just shave. It may be annoying but at least you'll be comfortable if something happens" I assured giving her my honest advise

"Ugh fine" she muttered before we said bye and hung up leaving me to shake my head as a few chuckles still managed to escape my lips

-----------------------

"It's over"  she whispered so softly that she could barely hear herself but she remained staring straight down letting her tears hit the cement

He suddenly cupped her face staring straight through her glossy eyes as he used his thumbs to wipe off the tear stains on her cheek

"Look at me and say it" he ordered, keeping his face void of any emotion meanwhile her emotions were practically painted on her skin

She always wondered how he mastered such a profound skill

Her breathing became rigid as her worried lines became more prominent

She tried to speak several times but nothing came out leaving her own body to betray her

As he continued staring at her, he cracked an almost sad smirk, "You can't, can you?" he pestered stroking her cheek as her eyes closed in defeat

While her voice was gone, her thoughts came in full speed until they stopped with one message

Maybe the love I am searching for isn't the love I am in need of

"You actually enjoy reading these?" Blake asked looking perplexed

We were in the living room and I was rested with my feet laid on top of his and head leaned against his shoulder while he held the novel we had just finished

I chuckled but nodded my head in response to his question as he only seemed to look at me with more confusion

"It's depressing as fuck" he said bluntly before throwing the book to the other side of the couch  and resting his hands on my leg

"It's touching" I argued, "It makes you feel some type of way" I finished as his eyes were trained on the designs he was creating on my thigh with his fingers

"yeah, depressed" he said straightforwardly leading me to roll my eyes before chuckling slightly

"I mean, yea. It's not rainbows and sunshine but that's why I like it" I said raising my shoulders up nonchalantly, "It's more real. Cliche, sure but it always manages to get me hooked"

He looked unimpressed with my answer but just nodded knowing this was one of those things that we would just have to agree to disagree
