"First let's try out a simple first spell Pinetree"

Bill waved his hand and the scenery shifted to the same appearance as the training field at the Academy.

Dipper look questionably at his surrounding and begun to watch as Bill made things appear one after the other.

The brunette scratch his head in nervousness and bit his lips in a habit when he didn't know how to start a conversation with someone.

Dipper learned about how magic can be used to use spells but he didn't have a clue as to how to do it.

He wasn't even sure if he was capable of performing magic, after all, he wasn't form a distinguished bloodline that had been practicing dark arts for ages like his classmates.

"For practicing magic I suggest you change your clothes and wear something more appropriate for spell casting rather than napping kid"

Bill reminded him as the demon finally wad satisfied with the surrounding.

Dipper looked at his own clothes and was embarrassed to find that he was indeed still in his white pajamas.

He then tried to imagine his clothes changing into his the P.E uniform of their school which was composed of black jogging pants and a white shirt with the insignia of the school sewn on the right side of his chest.

He also opted to wear some socks and rubber shoes.

With Dipper finally changing his clothes, he approached the demon and decided to asked so that they could start or something.

"Bill, can I even do magic? After all, I'm our family doesn't exactly do dark arts you know"

Bill then turned to him with a deadpan expression as if he just said something so stupid that it wasn't even funny anymore.

It infuriated and embarrassed Dipper very much that it made his face flush red.

"Kid, if you were able to summon an entire hord of undead without any problem at all, I don't think you'd have any difficulties trying out simple spells taught by the Academy"

Dipper's eye lit up in remembrance of the event and his nose scrunch up in confusion.

"That required magic?"

He didn't think that what he did back then used up any magic because he really didn't feel anything wrong afterwards. Also he had always chuck it up as one of the mysteries of Gravity falls.

"Yep! That particular one is called Necromancy. The ability to summon and control the dead. A pretty hard thing to do actually, so be proud of yourself more Pinetree!"

Bill made a tear through the space in front of them to show the image of Dipper and Mabel fighting of the undead and then made the tear close up again after completing him.

Dipper felt himself going red again but he refused to acknowledge that it was due to being shy because of Bill's compliment.

But since Bill was Bill, the demon obviously knew the reason as to why the brunette was red faced.

Bill rejoiced in his mind and threw another everlasting Weirdmeggadon party in his mind. While acting like a 3 years old child on his birthday.

But on the outside, he put on the facade of mysterious and psycho demon teacher.

Bill faked cough in order to calm himself and begun to teach Dipper.

"First thing you should know is how to circulate and control magic before you cast it. Too much magic enforced on a spell will make it go haywire and explode on the caster while too weak of a magic will not allow the spell to appear. It is also important to remember to say the incantation properly, if you pronounced it wrong then it will also blow up in the face of the caster. To circulate the magic you need a very high amount of imagination, magic flowing through your body and soul and well as great focus. And knowing you Pinetree, we can check all three right now!"

Seeing that he would receive absolutely adorable response if he would compliment the boy, Bill decided to use every chance he got to make the boy have a positive response towards him.

As expected, Dipper made another interesting response. Between being embarrassed by Bill's compliment and fear of failing to cast a spell thus it blowing up in his face.

'And when the chance is ripe'

"But there is no need to worry though! With me over here Pinetree, nothing bad will happen to you of course"

Bill made himself sound as casual and possible as if he was just merely stating facts (but he really was actually).

For added effects he turned around so that Dipper could only see his back as he begun to shift the scenery again making it look like as identical as possible with the training field.

So that when it's time for Dipper to cast thege spell he will be quite familiar with the place. Because being calm is as important as the other 3 that Bill had just said earlier.

".......t-thank you Bill"

Looking back at Dipper, he saw that the boy was actually smiling at him and Bill almost went into a daze.

'This is too good to be true! Yes! Finally, Infinite knowledge of the universe helped me out in my greatest task yet! I got Pinetree to smile at me!!!! Next thing is we're going to get married when he's older and then we'll hav-'

"B-Bill! What's happening!? The space is morphing and isn't this my dream!?! What's going on"

Bill snapped out of his feverish daydream of his and Dipper's future and he looked at what Dipper was talking about.

His eye dilated seeing the dream they where on start to tear and morph.

'Oh shit! I got to exited and let my magic go wild. I gotta fix this quite and make up a good excuse about this to Pinetree'

Focusing on his magic, Bill instantly fixed all the mess that he made and the whole place was clean and stable once again.

"Ah don't worry about that kid, I just flex my magic a bit and this happened. Since you know, I'm a dream demon. No need to worry though, all is well and fine! So let's start with a fire spell that you will be told to cast tomorrow"

After distracting Dipper with the topic about magic, Bill heaved a relieved sigh internally.
