Rule#23 never ditch your friends for a boy.

This rule was golden. Along with the 35 others.

If you had an appointment with your girls that just happened to clash with your appointment with your man's, you must let your friends know in advance that you won't be with them. Otherwise bailing on them would be a big no no in their books. Especially when you plan to go half on half with your meal.

"Hello are you even listening to me?" Kim waves her hand in front of my face pulling me out of my day dream.

"Ahhh yeah I was. Lunch with Eric." I barely said that right.

"Yeah." She paused and looked at me for a second before saying,

"I can cancel if you want or you can come with us if..."

I was tempted to make her finish that sentence. To accept her invitation just to be funny but I put her out of her misery because as much as I would love to be the third wheel. Lord knows I've had enough of that, I know how much this lunch with Eric means to Kim.

Since her breakup with Leo, Eric was practically there in shadows waiting for his time to shine. Besides him and her go way back to junior year so basically they were dating before they actually made it official. That's what I at least know.

"No I don't want to be your third wheel on your first lunch with Eric. Please I have the others I'll be fine."

Kims dark eyes glinted. "You're the best."

I grabbed her hand and squeezed. "I know I am."

"You'll be okay?" She pointed across the commons.

I shrugged. I was just as close with the others as I was with kim. I nodded at Kim. "Don't worry about me I'll be fine. And if I'm not I'll just have lunch in the library. " I joked about that though it sounded appealing.

Even though I claim to be close with the others especially the girls, things haven't been so smooth sailing since last winter break when I messed around with Bailey's cousin.

      It was a giant mess that led to a huge confrontation in the science hall, cold shoulders here and there as well as the 36 girl code rules which we must all follow.

      "If you're uncomfortable with them then just come with me." She pleaded and pulled in the direction of the quad.

     "I'll have to face them sooner or later. " I sounded as though I was convincing her than myslef.

       "Okay good luck." She pulled me in for a side hug since I was hold a tray of sloppy Joe's in my hands. "Just text me if it gets too tense."

     "I will." I whispered.

     And with that I was all alone. I watched Kim walked into the quad and to Eric, they embraced each other in a heated hug and walked off.
Now here I was all alone in the commons with a tray of sloppy Joe's in my hands and only 20 minutes till lunch is over.

      I scan the commons for familiar faces and then I spot them, seated all together by the regular table laughing and having a good time.
