Ch. 20 Hostage situation

I turned my attention away from the dead bodies and noticed Beverly's body floating not too far away.

We ran towards her as Ben reached out for her, she was just out of reach and no one had long enough arms.

"H-how is she in the air?" Richie asked confused.

"I'm not sure?" I replied just as puzzled.

Mike boosted Ben up so he could reach, he grabbed her by the ankle and pulled her down, gently lowering her onto the ground.

"Bev." Ben had his hands on her shoulders, and she shook her, " Beverly?" He shook her with a it more force but her eyes were all white and she wasn't responding.

Ben panicked , yelling and crying for her to wake up, it seemed as if all hope was lost.

He hugged her before doing the unexpected, grabbing her head, he placed his lips gently on hers.

"Woah woah woah." Eddie and Stan panicked .

I leaned into Richie, averting my eyes as he did the same.

Mike stares right at them grimacing slightly.

When Ben pulled away , Beverly's eyes slowly returned to their normal colour.

She gasped sharply and stepped away.

Ben looked shocked, "Bev?"

"January embers." She blurted out.

Ben smiled tears in his eyes, "my heart burns there too."

Richie let out a breath of relief, "Jesus fuck!"

He pulled me into a group hug with Ben and Beverly, everyone else slowly joined the hug.

I closed my eyes , relishing in the moment.

Then we remembered Bill, "Where's Bill?"

We ran through the water, trying to find him.

We stopped abruptly and saw Bill talking to Georgie?

But Georgie is gone.

We stood back, watching how it played out.

"Georgie?" Bill asked with tears in his eyes.

"What took you so long." Georgie asked too cheerfully.

Bill sniffled, "I've been looking this whole time."

"I couldn't find my way outta here." Georgie stepped closer to Bill, "He said I could have my boat back Billy.

Silent tears ran down Bill's face, "Was she fast?"

"I couldn't keep up with it."

"She Georgie. You call boats she."

Georgie looked up at Bill sadly, "take me home Billy."

Bill didn't respond.

"I wanna go home! I miss you! I wanna be with mom and dad!"

Bill swallowed a lump in his throat, "I want more than anything for you to be home. With m-mom and d-dad. I miss you so much!"

Bill stepped towards Georgie.

"I love you Billy!"

"I love you too." Bill pulled out Mike's gun and pointed it at Georgie's head, "But you're not Georgie."

'Georgie' took panicked laboured breaths .

Bang!

His body fell back jerking and twitching, we all stepped back as he started transforming into Pennywise.

"Kill it Bill, kill it!" Everyone started shouting as it stood up.

He readied the gun.

"Wait!" Mike yelled, "it's not loaded."

Pennywise quickly pinned Bill down and went to bite him, but Bill shoved the gun into IT's mouth.

"Leave him alone!" Bev yelled, impailing him with a metal rod.

Pennywise transformed into our worst fears but we ignored that and hit him with bats and poles.

Amongst all the chaos , IT had managed to take Bill hostage.

Bev yelled, "let him go!"
