Vkook One Shots

Hyung

Yongsun, Taehyung's mother and Mina, Jungkook's mother we're best friends since high school. They've been friends and neighbors for 10 years now. When Jungkook was born, Yongsun and 5-year old Taehyung we're holding him while Mina rested.

Yongsun softly patted the baby's bottom as Taehyung watched with doe eyes of curiosity.
"Is that bwaby Jung-googie, mommy?"
"It's Jungkook, hun. But yes, it's aunty Mina's baby."
"Tae is Googie's hyungie?"
Yongsun hummed. "Yup. You'll always take care of Jungkookie, right Taehyung-ah?"
"Of course!" Taehyung cheered as he jumped in his chair.

"Do you want to hold him, Tae?"
Taehyung's eyes widened as he shook his head. "I don't w-wanna drop him."
Yongsun smiled. "Nonsense. I will be right here, honey."
Yongsun crouched on the ground before Taehyung and gently handed him the little newborn.

Taehyung's eyes lightened up at the sight of the sleeping angel. Yongsun smiled softly as she stayed, kneeling in front of Taehyung as the 5 years old patted the baby's butt.
"He's so tiny and fwagile."
Yongsun hummed. "That's why you must always protect him, baby. Let's put him to bed now, honey."
Taehyung nodded as Yongsun brought the baby to the crib.

Taehyung looked over the crib at the baby and smiled as he reached forward to stroke his fluffy cheek.
"Hyungie will always take care of you, Jung-googie."

"You're so tiny, Googie."
"No m not!" Jungkook pouted as he crossed his short, stubby arms.
Taehyung giggled as he got down on one knee to face his friend.
"It's your first day of Kindergarten. Are you excited?"
"Ish hyungie going to kinner-garden wiff Kook?"
"No, silly. I went to Kindergarten already."
"Oh. Will hyungie be there at wecess?"
"I don't know if we have the same times for recess, Googie."

Jungkook looked down at his tiny sketchers as he gripped tightly onto his backpack straps.
He started to cry, the first day of school finally getting to him and knowing his hyungie wouldn't being with him.

Taehyung frowned as he kneeled down to see fat tears streaming down Jungkook's hunny cheeks.
"Baby Googie. No cry. Taehyungie was scared on his first day of school too!"
"Y-you were?" Jungkook sniffled as he rubbed the back of his hand against his nose.
"Mhmm. But I learned that it wasn't as scary as before. The teachers are nice and Googie's really nice. I'm sure you'll make some friends."
"A-And if Googie dont?"
"Well, you still have one friend. And he will stay with you forever."

Jungkook's red eyes lit up as he giggled.
"Weally, hyung? Who?"
"Me, silly! Hyungie will need let Googie get hurt."
"Promise, hyungie?" Jungkook stuck out his tiny pinky finger as Taehyung smiled widely.
He wrapped his pinky around Jungkook's and kissed his thumb. "I promise, Googie."

"You're stubborn."
"I learned from the best!" Jungkook cheered as Taehyung rolled his eyes.

The two were in their shared apartment, Taehyung was working on an assignment for UNI while Jungkook just got home from high school. He had asked Taehyung while on his way home if he wanted something to eat. Taehyung, being on a fasting diet, denied the offer but of course, Jungkook came with bags of burritos from a burrito shack they always go to.

"I'm on a diet, Koo." Taehyung said softly as his stomach growled at the sight of the foil-wrapped burritos.
Jungkook frowned,— "I don't understand why you're on that stupid diet. Y-you're not even fat. You're skinny! Too skinny! Maybe that's why I'm getting taller than—"
"Hush it."

Taehyung looked through the plastic bags as he spotted his favorite. He picked at the foil surrounding it as he felt Jungkook hug him from behind.
"I know you want it."
"I don't. It's bad for your health." Taehyung retorted as he turned his head to face Jungkook whose chin rested on his shoulder. Jungkook raised an eyebrow as he tightened his arms around his hyung.
