Lana felt her heart drop realizing Kuiil was no longer responding. Her mind went to the worse place possible. She began thinking of all the possibilities, all of which were negative.

Was Kuiil dead?

Was the child dead?

Were they both?

The standoff between Moff Gideon and the group felt like it lasted for hours. Moff Gideon starred into the battle torn window knowing in an instant he could blow them to pieces.

The multiple Stormtroopers holding their riffles toward them wasn't terrifying, neither was the special operations Troopers, it was the silence of it all. No one dared to make a move, no one took a breath.

"Is there another way out?" Cara asks Greef Karga, pleading for there to be one.

"No, that's it." He says hidden behind the bar. Mando glances out into the street again, slowly feeling himself crumble at the thought that this might be his final day with Lana. Their few months of traveling with each other weren't enough, it didn't fulfill what he wanted.

Mando had one last idea, one last saves the day idea. "What about the sewers?"

"Sewers?" Karga repeats.

"The Mandalorians have a covert down in the sewers. If we can get down there, they can help us escape." Mando says squeezing Lana's hand once more.

"Yeah, sewers are good." Lana breaths out, taking any ideas they had.

"Checking for access points." Mando says, scanning over the room.

Lana pushes Mando back to where she was standing previously. She turns her head around the corner to get a better look at who they're facing.

"What are they waiting for?" She whispers.

Soon enough, Lana realizes what they are truly waiting for.

Three troopers come out from one of the alleyways, dragging along a stand of some sorts. Another few come into her view carrying a large white case, dropping it by the feet of the stand. "Oh dear..." She draws out.

She watches in fear as they take the canon and place it on the stand, aiming it straight toward the cantina. Cara sighs across from her, looking toward Karga.

"They're setting up an E-web." Just in the way Cara said it, Lana knew whatever it was, it was probably going to be very bad.

"It's over." Karga says blankly. Lana turns her head back to Din who's still searching the room for a gateway to the sewers. Lana closes her eyes, begging all this to go away.

"I found the sewer vent." Mando says. Lana's eyes pop open. "Let's get the hell out of here."

Cara ducked, sprinting to where Mando pointed. Both Lana and Mando squatted low, Mando turned around slightly grabbing Lana's hand and dragging her toward the vent.

Mando stood up when they were in covered area. He went straight for the chairs leaning against the wall. In one swift motion he had whirled the chair across the other side of the room barely missing Lana.

Lana took a deep breath, then came to Mando's side grabbing whatever she could. The two threw more sections of the couch fighting to reveal the vent.

When they finally got to it, Cara and Mando threw themselves at it using all their power to try to yank it off. Lana stood behind them, knowing Cara had more muscle in her pinky than Lana had in her whole body.

She watched the two grunt and pull at the vent. Mando used all his strength he could muster to pull it off. He needed to, for Lana and for the child. Cara grunted one last time, out of anger throwing herself off it. Mando still fought it though.

"It's assembled! How long until that thing's cleared?" Karga says over his shoulder speaking of the E-web.

Mando finally stands, analyzing the situation, having no idea what the next move should be.

"Blow it." Cara demands.

"I'm out of charges." Mando says lowly. Cara runs to grab her heavy rifle from the couch they didn't throw around. "Watch out." She shouts.

Mando runs to Lana's side, pulling her away from Cara's firing. Mando put his arm around her shoulders turning her around from the sparks of the blaster hitting the metal of the gate. The gunfire rang through the silent cantina, loud enough for the Moff to hear indeed.

After shooting over and over at the vent, Cara drops her rifle going in for a swift kick to it. It didn't budge one bit.

"Your astute panic suggests that you understand your situation. I would prefer to avoid any further violence and encourage a moment of consideration." Lana shuddered at Moff Gideons words which bellowed through the heavy walls of the cantina.

"Members of my escort have completed assembly of an E-web heavy repeating blaster. If you are unfamiliar with this weapon, I am sure that Republican Shock trooper Carasynthia Dune of Alderaan will advise you that she has witnessed many of her ranks vaporize mid-descent facing the predecessor of this particular model."

Lana slowly turned her position next to Mando to see Cara's reaction. Cara began walking in front of the two, almost awestruck that he knew who she was. Lana couldn't handle the anxiety anymore; she could sense how powerful this man was.

"Or perhaps the decommissioned Mandalorian hunter, Din Djarin," Lana felt her breath catch in the back of her throat. She watched as Mando stepped forward next to Cara. Lana followed behind him, placing her hand on his arm. Mando can't look at her though, he couldn't believe it.

"has heard the song of the siege of Mandalore, when gunships outfitted with similar ordnance laid waste to fields of Mandalorian recruits in The Night of a Thousand Tears."

"I advise disgraced Magistrate Greef Karga to search the wisdom of his years and urge you to lay down your arms and come outside. Oh, and that farm girl, Lana Roaz of Sorgan, you've put her in this situation she should never have been in. I advise you again to make the right decision."

Lana squeezed his arm hard, trying to get him to face her. But he was angry, angrier than she's ever seen him. How did this Moff know them all? How did he know Lana?

"The structure you are trapped in will be razed in short order and your storied lives will come to unceremonious end."

"What do you propose?" Karga shouts from behind the bar.

"Reasonable negotiation." He responds smirking.

Karga scoffs at his words. "What assurance do you offer?"

"If you're asking if you can trust me, you cannot." Lana was confused at Moff's words. "Just as you betrayed our business arrangement, I would gladly break any promise and watch you die at my hand. The assurance I give is this: I will act in my own self-interest, which at this time involves your cooperation and benefit." The Moff glances behind his shoulder to examine the sun.

"I will give you until nightfall, and then I will have the E-web cannon open fire."
