Taylor spread the towel out on the sand before laying down on it. "Mind if I go in the water?" You asked as you crouched down next to her.
She wants to work on her tan a bit but you wanted to go do more surfing.
It worried Taylor about you being out on a surfboard in the ocean, but she's supportive of your passion and since you're a pro at it she figures you'll be okay. "No, honey. Go on ahead. I'll be here when you're done. Have fun!" You kissed her cheek and grabbed your board before going to the water.
Taylor put on her sunglasses and closed her eyes, letting her entire body relax after a long week at work.
You spent a good thirty minutes in the water just surfing and swimming around. You decided to go catch another wave when something flipped you over. You fell into the water and turned your head to see your leg in a sharks mouth. Panic washed over you, your mind and body starting to go into fight or flight mode causing it so you didn't really feel too much pain.
You reached out to grab your board and managed to get a good grip on it. You could see blood starting to pool around you. Being a professional surfer, you knew a few tips to get the shark to let go of you. You hit the shark in its eye and it let go of you.
You got back on your board right away and started to paddle back to shore. Your leg was bleeding pretty bad now that it was out of the water and you were starting to feel the pain.
You started to feel dizzy and you looked down at your leg, just to see how bad it was. The sight made you pass out and you would've flipped back off your board again, if it weren't for the man that had come to help you when he noticed the blood around you.
He yelled out for help and people in the water rushed over to you. They helped get you back to shore. Someone put a towel down and let you lay on it. People started to panic, yelling out about calling for an ambulance and getting something to put pressure on your leg.
The commotion caught Taylor's attention. She pulled her glasses off and got up from her towel, just planning on taking a peek at what was going on.
But she saw you unconscious and bloody and she ran right over to you.
"Y/n?" She called out as she sat down next to you. "What happened?" She asked while looking around at all the panicked strangers. "I think she got bit by a shark. She's bleeding bad." She looked down at your leg, the wound making her stomach turn.
"Shit. Y/n, wake up." She shook your shoulder gently and reached for your hand. She let out a sigh when she felt you squeeze her hand. "Taylor?" You opened your eyes and let out a groan from the unbearable pain coming from your leg. "It's okay, darling. You're gonna be alright."
She promised as she pressed a bunch of kisses to your hands. "It hurts." You cried, tears leaking from the corner of your eyes and Taylor wiped them away. Her bottom lip trembled, her hands shaking out of pure fear and panic. "I know, I know it does, my darling. I need you to stay strong for me, okay?"
You nodded your head but it was weak. You felt dizzy, things were turning fuzzy and you could feel your eyes starting to droop. You closed them but only for a split second because Taylor was quick to lightly tap your cheeks and get you to open them again. "Y/n keep your eyes open."
"I'm sleepy." Taylor nodded her head, about to say something when she heard the wailing of sirens. She watched a few people get up and run over to where the ambulance was coming from to show them where you were. "It's gonna be just fine, y/n. I promise." She pushed some wet hair away from your face, doing everything she could to not look down at your wound.
The paramedics ran over and managed to cover your wound to try to stop the bleeding. They put you on a stretcher and Taylor quickly followed behind them. She wasn't concerned about the belongings back by where she once laid. She was only worried about you.
She climbed into the back of the ambulance and held your hand tightly as the paramedic closed the door and the other began to drive to the hospital. "Tay?" She laced your fingers together and pressed a few kisses to your forehead. "I'm right here. You're gonna be alright, I promise."
She didn't know if she should promise such a thing. You had lost a lot of blood and the wound on your leg was gaping. But that wouldn't stop her from trying, from giving you all the reassurance and comfort you needed at that moment. She just hoped you'd be okay.
