Under the thin flames of candles, a pair of forest green orbs glimmered, the pupils dilated, giving the round-faced man an adorable look. He was not what one would call handsome, although tall, his mannequin was rather big, his face had not many distinct features, a very forgetful face, thick glasses that rested on top of a long Roman nose, too big for the rest of his traces. His chubby cheeks slightly flushed as his large yet soft hands held thin jade-like ones. A single full bloomed rose, thrown to the side. In it a note written its meaning : " I love you, I still love you."

The scenery wasn't extraordinary, it was at the girl's old apartment. Although, when lit it became very well illuminated, under the few candles, it gave a very dark, charming atmosphere. Even though the apartment was big, all of the furniture was pushed to the side, giving room for a king-sized mattress to be laid on the floor. Besides it, one three-digit bottle of wine, no glasses in sight whatsoever.

Looking at the ceiling, where the credits of the film rolled, the two spoke, the words soft-spoken. The phrases sounding dragged due to the effects of the alcohol.

" Why are you staring at me? Is my face red? It feels hot." The girl giggled, feeling the loving gaze from her beloved.

Feeling a chubby arm embracing her, Luna smiled.

"I wish this moment could last forever." The man whispered getting closer to her thin body. "If you asked me to stay I would, you know that? I don't want to leave your side."

Patting his head, she turned to him kissing his forehead.

"It's only one year away. You know I would never ask you to stay. It's your dream to go there. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing you would waste it because of me."

Feeling his embrace tighten, Luna felt a sharp pain in her heart.

"I know that, and that's why I love you. I just worry. Because... You know." Lucifer stuttered. "I'm afraid of what may happen in this one year we are apart."

Laughing, Luna looked into his eyes.

"And what could possibly happen in this one year? I trust you, do you not trust me?"

Shaking his head flustered, Lucifer avoided eye contact.

"I'm afraid you will notice how much better you could be doing without me."

Pinching his cheek with an upset expression, Luna sighed.

"Jesus, I will be working like a dog for the rest of the year. My grandfather is a hair strand away from giving me full control of the company. If you think that in the meantime I will have the time for such a big reveal, we need to take that bottle away from you. " She giggled, both her hands on his face. Making both eyes stare at each other. "Look at me, I love you. I chose to love you. So don't go filling up your head with nonsense, or else I will start to think that it is you who has plans to go look for someone else."

Startled, Lucifer shook his head.

"Why would I search for someone, if I can never find anyone better?"

Hearing such words, Luna blushed.

"Plus, why would I want to look for anyone else if I have already devoted the rest of my life to another?"

Lifting her brow Luna was confused.

" And to who did you do that?"

Letting go of the embrace, Lucifer got up, careful not to step at any of the candles placed on the floor.

"Caspien?" She called for the man that went towards his trousers which were folded on top of the black mahogany table.

Taking something from the pocket, the man quickly hid it behind him.
