You sat in your chair in your room that given to you by Charlie in her hotel. Your eyes were foggy as you thought to yourself, holding your elbows in your hands. Its been like this for a week and you would not eat or drink very much. So you had certainly lost weight, but you could not tell it if was your demon form changing you or just the lack of food and water.

Every once in a while, someone would come in to check on you (usually Charlie) and try to get you to eat and drink. You only did it for her. You only talked to her. Alastor came in a few times but every time he did you looked away and would not talk, eat, or drink.

Why were you doing this, you asked yourself often. You would start to feel better but then you would remind yourself; the break up, Lupus's lies, being in hell, turning into a demon. It was all so much for you to comprehend. When you had no memories of the situation, you thought this was normal- so you handled it differently. But now, it was overwhelming. You still loved Alastor a lot, but it hurt even knowing he did not love you back.

You did not know why he was still hanging around you with the contract broken, but in your mind he was just trying to play a sick joke on you. The door opened to shine light into your room to reveal Charlie with a hot, steaming bowl of soup.

"C'mon, (y/n).. eat a little something..." She said softly, closing the door and opening the windows slightly for light- but not too much as to make you uncomfortable. You nodded a little and she smiled softly, sitting on your bed beside you.

"Is this still about the rejection?" She asked kindly, stirring the soup and giving it to you. You trembled in sadness, or lack of food in your aching stomach. Your eyes started watering again, unaware Alastor was listening in from the hallway. You nodded and little but something still seemed to be unsaid.

"There's more, whats wrong?" Charlie asked again, watching you take a spoonful of soup to your mouth and eating it. You did not say anything for a moment.

"W-well..." You said hoarsely, your voice becoming smoother as you talked, "Its just hard for me, you know. To lay your heart down for someone and them to smash it like that, for someone you thought was your friend turn out to be working for the man who teamed up on you, lost everything; your memories, your friends, you love, your life! Then be lied to for a week or so, being in Hell suddenly, being hunted down by your crush and pinned down by his shadow people, crying silently in the darkness- scared and wondering if he was going to kill you...!" You whispered fearfully, setting the not empty bowl down on the bedside table, holding yourself while you shook.

Charlie's eyes widened, understanding and hugging you as your cried tears you did not know you were holding back. Alastor covered his grinning mouth in the hallway. His darling, afraid of him? The news made his sad but he also felt a sick, twisted happiness from your fear. But soon the happiness was gone and replaced with gilt.

He took a deep breath in and walked into the room, Charlie looked his way. Hope, anger, disappointment, wounder, even protectiveness danced in her eyes. You peeked up at him before burring your head in shame in Charlie's neck, trying to disappear from sight. Alastor slightly frowned, thinking out his next words.

"Darling... I'm sorry. I did not know what to say, you caught me off guard and I did not understand what I as feeling..." He said slowly, "I'm sorry, I-I messed up." He stated, bowing lightly.

"Yah. Yah, you did." You said, a sudden feeling of anger wending up in your chest. You stood up, your hair glowing at the top (you like the picture in the chapter before last but you have arms). Your wings spread and the tips flared white. Alastor seemed taken back, and a little bit confused as to what you where doing.

"Darling, I said I was sorry... Is there something I missed?" He asked truthfully, walking towards you with a pained look in his eyes.

"Oh, I don't know, how about leaving me at Lupus', taking so long to get me out, pinning me down with shadows in a basement!" You yelled, you staff glowing in the corner roaring to life. It shot up and into the air to your side, spinning slightly as it hovered. He looked at it for a moment, as did Charlie.

"Let me explain, darling... I looked all over Hell for you but what ever curse Lupus put you kept me from knowing it was you or where you were. And that plays in with the shadow thing dear, I did not know if you remembered me or not and I did not want you to hurt yourself so I used them to keep you there so you would not be hurt with the fighting..." He said gently, bringing a hand to your face. His thumb brushed your sizzling tears with his thumb. You sobbed, stepping back from him.

"I-I need time to think..." You whispered and flapped once and you were gone, along with your staff.
