This was it. We were about to take the most dangerous risk in this war so far. We were going to change Maleficent back from a lizard to her fairy form. This could REALLY backfire, but this feels like the right thing to do.
"Do you have her?" I ask Merida. She nods.

She hands me the covered glass terrarium. Wow. I know Maleficent did seriously unspeakable crimes, but right now, all I can see is a mistreated dragon...
Lance and Eugene pull in the case the Dragon Riders raided from King Stephan's castle. Definitely, the wings were in there. And they were thrashing in the chains that held them in place.
Stephan's a monster.
I clench my fists.
"Hiccup?" Merida touches my hand.
I look at her.
"You okay?"
"Yes, just a little disgusted that a man, who'd do things like this, is hailed as a hero." I confess.
Merida squeezes my hand. "Well, we're gonna do somethin' 'bout tha'!"
I grin.
Rapunzel lifts the cloth off Maleficent's cage.

There she was...
Rapunzel looks at me. I nod. I felt everyone hold their breath.
Rapunzel removes Maleficent from the glas cage and wraps her in her hair.

"Flower, gleam and glow,

Rapunzel sang her healing incantation. Her golden hair glowing, reversing the curse on Maleficent.
Before our eyes, the tiny lizard transformed into a woman.

But she was in pain...
Her back had two large wounds. That seemed to be causing her agony!
"Now!" I command Eugene and Lance.
They smash open the case, freeing the wings inside it.
The wings emerged from it, and immediately grafted itself onto Maleficent's back.

The sight was amazing. The wings rejoined onto Maleficent's back, allowing her to soar into the sky, free of the former pain.
Maleficent flew back down, looking confused. "Who are you people? Where is my husband, Hades? Where is my baby!? Where's Mal!?!"
Huh? What is she talking about?

Author's Note: At last! I'm able to push through procrastination and get this chapter out. And now, Maleficent, is baaaackkk! But what is she asking and will she be on Hiccup's side?
