"AGAIN?" HECTOR'S VOICE SEEMED TO ECHO THROUGHOUT THE FOREST. "What the hell, Sypha? I thought you weren't gonna go over there anymore?"

The brunette sighed softly, "I never said that."

"Go over where?" A confused Carmilla questioned, her curiosity washing over her like a tidal wave.

"Did you not hear me before when I said you're putting our kind in danger?" Sypha groaned in annoyance as she plopped down next to Carmilla on a large tree root.

She leaned over towards the new blood, smirking lightly as she muttered under her breath, "It'd be nice if he could get off my ass every once in a while." Carmilla giggled softly at her comment, making Hector cross his arms over his chest.

"This isn't a game, Sypha," he lectured, "What's so important that you'd risk the safety of your own family? What made you return to the Elven palace?"

"—I don't have to answer to you," Sypha told him. Just as Hector was about to give up, a familiar, majestic voice rolled across the wind.

"But you do answer to me..." Sypha immediately perked up in the mighty presence of Constantine, her little attitude suddenly vanishing into thin air.
