It's been almost 70 years since I've last seen his smiling face and grey freckles. It's weird, I've thought about and remembered him for this long. Even when I grew old started to forget my own adopted childrens' names on my death bed, I still remembered Izuku Midoriya.
I kept the promise I made him that day, that I'd live my life to the fullest. When I graduated, I became the number one hero, and eventually realized I could never love another after him. After all, I promised I'd see him in heaven. I adopted two children, a 2 year old girl named Izumi Viria and a 4 year old son named Freiz Viria. They were a package deal. Eventually, they grew up, always knowing they were adopted, and had families of their own- my non-biological grandchildren.
I lived a happy and long life, but there was always something missing.
Him.
And now, as the light breaks into my vision with my family surrounding me, I will finally get to see the transparent boy in his natural light.
And it all starts with reaching out.
Damn y'all are well fed today. This was basically just Todoroki dying many years later :)
