「Chapter Twenty Six」

Y/n's eyes fluttered open as she awoke to the sound of.. weeping? She got out of bed and put on her slippers and opened the door to Kyoto's room.

"Hey.. you okay?" Her eyes softened. Kyoto hid his eyes as tears spilled down his face. "What happened?" Y/n sat next to him on his bed.

"I feel.. so ashamed." Kyoto said, hiccuping between words as his crying seemed to break out more than before.

She rubbed his back, "What's on your mind?"

"I don't like Uraraka.."

"Did she do something to you?"

"No, no. She's great, but I don't like her."

"Do you like some other girl at school?" Y/n tilted her head.

"No, Y/n. I don't.. like girls.. at all."

Y/n had a quick look of confusion before giving out a small gasp, "Are you..?"

"Yeah. I'm.. gay." Kyoto clenched his fists and turned red.

"Thank you for.. telling me.. How long have you known?"

"C-Couple months." Kyoto wiped his tears, "And I know you might not believe me since I'm only twelve, but I'm pretty certain."

"No, I believe you. Are you going to tell mom?"

"Pfft! Are you kidding? Mom is ultra religious, there's no way I can tell her."

"Mom will accept you either way." Y/n stood up, "You tell her when you're ready, if at all. Again, thanks for telling me. You can talk to me whenever you want. Plus, I think I know some gay kids at my school."

"Who?"

"An old friend and a very powerful guy with basically two Quirks." Her mind instantly went to Izuku and Todoroki, "But it's just a hunch."

Kyoto laughed, "Thanks for listening."

Y/n stopped at the door and nodded her head, "You come to me whenever something happens, alright? I'm your big sister after all."

"Thank you." Kyoto snuggled into his bed and closed his eyes as Y/n left the room and closed the door.

"My, my! Wouldn't have expected that little baby Kyoto would be into men."

"Kana?! You're in the real world too..?" Y/n whispered as she looked around the dark house.

"Of course I am you idiot. You think I just appeared in your dreams for no reason?"

Y/n hugged her arms to her chest, "No.. no.. you're not real."

"Believe that all you want, but I'm here whether or not you think I am."

The sudden chill in the air disappeared and Y/n rushed back to her room and tried to sleep, feeling rather unready for the day ahead of her.
