Chapter 20

"And you know what she did?" Rosé amd Jisoo are at Manoban's house. Rosé was excited to tell Jennie about the special night. After dinner, Jisoo and Lisa went out to meet their other members. So there goes Rosé with her big story. "What did she do?" jennie asked curiously. Rosé bit her lip and tucked a few of her hair behind her ear. "She proposed to me!" and the two girls screamed in amusement.

If Jisoo and Lisa were with the two, they surely will burst into annoyance. Jennie squealed and held Rosé's hand. "She rent the amusement park and the famous restaurant just to propose to you? I can't believe Kim Jisoo did that!" Jennie spoke in amusement. She was so happy for the two. They kept talking about the future and some random things.

Meanwhile,

Jisoo and Lisa was sitting near the counter of a café that they used to visit on their teen days.

"Hey girls!" Two girls approached them with grins on their faces. "Seulgi-ssi! Irene Unnie!" Lisa and Jisoo stood up to hug the other two. Kang Seulgi is a well-known doctor, a good friend of Lisa. They met at the café not so long ago and went along well. One day, Kang wanted to introduce her wife, Bae Joohyun (rather to be called Irene) to Lisa. That time Lisa wanted to bring Dahyun but she was busy so she took Jisoo instead. And that's how the four became good friends. Rosé and Jennie doesn't know Seulgi and Irene. But Lisa told them she'll introduce her soon.

"It's been a while!" Seulgi said as she sat beside her wife, facing Lisa. Irene was six years older than Lisa while Seulgi was three years younger than Irene. The two had treated Lisa and Jisoo like their sisters. "Seulgi-ssi, you should take Irene Unnie for a dinner at my house. My wife would be happy to meet you two." Lisa told them with a smile on her face. "You're married already? And you didn't invite me?"

"I did invite you but you weren't in Korea when I got married, Seulgi-ssi."

"Oh yeah."

"By the way, this girl is getting married too, soon." Lisa said pointing her finger at Jisoo. "Congratulations then! I'm looking forward your invitation card." Seulgi said along with a chuckle.

"Rosé would surely love to meet you two." Jisoo smiled genuinely. "We'll tell you two when we'll be available." Irene said.

"By the way how's it going between you and Dahyun, Lisa-ya?" Lisa frowned. She forgot to tell the couple about what happened. "She's not married with Dahyun," Jisoo spoke for Lisa. She knows that Lisa doesn't like it when people talk about Dahyun. Irene looked at Jisoo in confusion. "What does that supposed to mean? Did we miss something?" Irene asked, glancing at the youngest.

"I got married to Jennie Kim. I guess I forgot to tell you guys." Lisa said with a sigh. "Wow you look like it's something bad. What happened?" Seulgi asked curiously. Jisoo spent half an hour to tell the whole story to Kang and Bae. Lisa was just watching their reaction. To tell the truth, she's grateful that Dahyun left her. Otherwise she would never be free from sorrow and jelousy. Dahyun had always been a possessive girlfriend, she wouldn't let Lisa talk to other girls and that sometimes annoys Lisa. She's glad that Jennie isn't someone like that.

"So yeah, the past few weeks Lisa had been acting lovey-dovey with Jennie." Jisoo finished her story. Lisa smiled genuinely at the thoughts of Jennie surrounding her. "Well now that you're not with her, I can actually tell you that she has never been the one for you." Irene spoke. Irene has never liked the way Dahyun talk to Lisa everytime they're on the phone but she kept it to herself, not wanting to pick a fight.

"So tell me," Seulgi put her elbows on the table while looking at Lisa. "How good is this Jennie?" Lisa smiled genuinely before showing her thumbs up. "She's a good cook, a good friend, a good wife. I actually don't regret agreeing to my father." said Lisa.

They kept talking to kept themselves updated with new stories until Seulgi's phone rang. She picked up and the three could tell that it's an emergency, based on Seulgi's reaction. "I'm really sorry but there's an accident victim just arrived for surgery so I have to go." Seulgi apologized.

"Lisa please drive my wife back home." With that the doctor gave a peck to her wife and went away. A few more talking and they decided to go home.

When they arrived at Kang's house, the three bid their goodbyes and went away. "What do you think Jennie and Rosé did at home?"

"I don't know, watching romance and squeal?"

The two looked at each other and cringed. Lisa and Jisoo doesn't love romance movies as much as their partners does. "If that's what they really did, I'm glad we got out." Jisoo chuckled.

Lisa parked the car in the garage and locked the doors. "We're home!" Lisa shouted while Jisoo was behind her. The whole house was dark and silent. The only source of light was from the television screen in the living room. The two went near the sofa and saw Rosé and Jennie sleeping soundly. "Seems like you'll have to sleep in the guest room."

"Well then, good night." Jisoo gently carried her girl in bridal style, not wanting to wake her up. The couples usually comes to sleep at Lisa's house two weeks in a month. The guest room used to be Lisa's room but since Jennie and Lisa make up, the room was opened for the two couple. Jisoo and Rosé would leave some of their clothes just in case they had to sleep at Lisa's house unexpectedly like tonight. When Lisa heard the guest room door closed, she sat beside the sleeping brunette girl. Slowly carresing her figures, Lisa smiled. 'You're beautiful. I'll be a fool if I leave you.' thought Lisa. She was so in love with the brunette girl but she had no guts.

Then she poke Jennie's shoulder to wake her up. "Five more minutes." Jennie scowled. Lisa chuckled and pulled her up, "No. Go sleep in the bedroom." with her eyes closed, Jennie stood up and stormed away from Lisa who was giggling at Jennie's cuteness. Lisa turned off the tv and when she was about to go in the bedroom, her phone rang. She frowned and took it out from her pocket.

'Dahyun.'

Lisa huffed in annoyance and answered the call. "What do you want?" Lisa asked coldly.

"It's obvious, I want you."

"It's obvious too, I don't love you." Lisa said sarcastically, mocking the girl on the other line. "I told you I love you, babe." the words made Lisa cringe and smirk in disbelief. "Listen, I'm done with you. Accept the fact that I'm not yours anymore, and I'm married. Jennie is my wife and I love her."

Jennie's p.o.v

After I left Lisa, I couldn't go back to sleep. I wanted to be hugged by her before I close my eyes so I sat at the edge of the bed, waiting for her. Then I heard Lisa's voice like, arguing with someone?

I got up and peaked at the door. Then I saw Lisa talking on the phone, with a frown.

"...I love her. So if you think you can get me back, you won't, you just can't. So please stop and move on." I saw her ending the call so I quickly ran back to the edge of the bed and waited for her to come in. As the door cracked open, I smiled warmly at her.

"You're not asleep yet? Just now you couldn't even open your eyes." She said, chuckling while shaking her head. "I want you to be beside me before I go to sleep." I said cutely. She put her phone on the bedside table and jumped on the bed. She opened her arms wide, inviting me.

"Come here." I plunged myself to her embrace and pulled the blanket. "Now let's sleep." I said happily. She kissed my forehead and closed her eyes. I closed my eyes too and smiled, what she said earlier was still lingering in my head.

'She said she loves me.' I thought as I drifted off to sleep.
