Hayden's POV

I felt a hand on my wrist, I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone

"Hayden, are you okay?" Alexis asks

"I'm so sorry about your mom" Cameron says

"It's okay, it just showed me the kind the person she is" I shrugged

"I'm here if you ever wanna talk about it" Cameron says

"Get something to eat, I'll see you upstairs, let me tell my dads bye" Alexis says

"No don't... go spend some time with your parents, I just want some time alone right now" I sigh

They nod before taking one last glance at me and heading back into the auditorium, I see Maddison standing there when the doors swung open.

She looked at me with sympathy, it made my blood boil, I rolled my eyes before heading to the cafeteria.

I took my tray and placed some ice in a bag before finding an empty seat

"Hey" a soft voice came behind me, it's was Abeke, she sat down next to me while Danny took a seat opposite

"Rough day?" she asks, I place the ice pack on my cheek, hissing in pain when the cold came in contact with the sensitive skin

"Rough is an understatement" I sigh biting into whatever prison food they made today

"I'm not sure if we met, I'm Danny. I assume you're Hayden, heard Alot about you" he reached his hand over, I politely shook it. Honestly, I had no reason to be mad at Danny

"Why are you guys here and not in the auditorium?" I ask

"Parents are a no show" Abeke says

"My dad pretty much disowned me when he dropped me off here" Danny says sadly

"My aunt is my only guardian, when she found out I was pan, she went through the roof, she left me here and never looked back" Abeke sighs

"I'm sorry" I mumble, everyone's been through some tough shit. It amazes me how our generation is so strong

"Don't worry about it, we learnt to accept our situation, but it doesn't mean we agree with anything that happens under this roof" Abeke says

"Aren't you guys friends with Maddison? She believes Immanuel can 'change' her" I say

Since I've known Maddison, she's always believed in whatever Immanuel says, he was like the light in the darkness for her

"Maddison is great, she's such a sweet person but she's been in here for a long time, I guess believing in something is better than believing in nothing" Abeke says

"My cousin texted me that my dad is gonna visit next time, I'm surprised he even thinks about me" Danny says sneakily sticking an object in his pocket

"You have a phone?" I whispered

"Yeah, had to blow a security guard to get it" he rolled his eyes

My jaw dropped-

"I'm kidding! I'm kidding" he laughs

Just then, the cafeteria doors bust open, Immanuel's face was red. He looks like the air head's logo

His eyes met mine and he rushed over to me. Oops

"Ah shit, what did you do" Abeke laughs

"Did you see his facebook profile" I smirk

"Oh my God, you did not" Danny clasped his hand over his mouth, I giggled

"It was just uploaded from my phone" I dropped my smirk, preparing to be serious for Queen Immanuel's arrival

"Hayden, I know what you did" he says

"Um, what did I do?" I pretend to look clueless

"Don't play games with me, I know you put my face onto a prostitute and posted it on facebook" he spat

"First off, I have no idea what you're talking about, secondly, that's a paying job, don't frown on sex workers" I smirk

"Admit you did it!"

"I don't even have access to facebook or the internet, and I can't edit so... You're looking kinda dumb right now" I hear Abeke and Danny snort

Immanuel held his death glare on them before bringing it back to me, his eyes softened and he held a wicked smirk

"I just remembered, your mother left me something for you in my office" he says

It's probably a Bible

"Come with me" he says dusting off his suit walking away

"I don't trust that man" Abeke says

"Me neither" Danny agreed, focused on the man walking away

"Do you think I can take him in a fight?" I chuckle

"Totally" they laugh

"I'll see you guys later" I say goodbye before dragging myself to his office. What could he possibly have in store for me

After a few seconds on wondering the halls, I stood in front of Immanuel's office, I unlocked the door, My face fell at the sight before me
