Chapter 3| Kids

Neil and Ahana head out of the house and sat in the car. As soon as they buckle up Neil starts to drive. A few mins of silence were filled in the car.

Neil:"umm Where is Ansh's school "

Ahana:"oh sorry. It's on bandera road"

Neil:"Alright"(The rest of the drive was filled with silence.)

At Ansh's school...

Neil and Ahana parks the car and heads in to the principal's office.

Ahana:"hello maam, I am Ansh's mother"

Principal:"yes ms. Singh. Just wait a min I'll get the nurse to bring nurse."

Ahana:"sure.."(After sometime anshe comes in the office and the first thing he does is hugs ahana and cries)"Ansh baby..."(she looks at the nurse )

Nurse:"His teacher was saying that during recess he got Into a fight with two 4th grader and pushed him. He didn't get much hurt but he did get scared and scratches on his knees"

Principal:"Don't worry ms. Singh we have already talked to the parents of those 2 boys there is no need to worry"

Ahana:"but why did this fight take place on the first spot"

Principal:"umm it's better if we talk about this later "(she said indicating at ansh)

Ahana:"okay Thank you maam. we'll take a leave"(Ahana said as they headed out of the school and sat in the car.)

Neil:"we still have 15 min till my kids school gets over so why dont we sit here for 5 min"(Ahana nodded understanding that Neil is giving time for Ansh to calm down)

Ahana:"Baby why did you fight with the 4th graders. Mumma taught you that fighting is bad right "

Ansh:"mumma they said that I dont have a dad. But I have a dad right. Who buys me all the toys on my birthday "(Ahana became num)" Say something mumma I have a dad right"

Neil:"ofcourse you do beta."

Ansh:(looks at neil for the first time in last 15 mins)"see even you know. Then why did they say I don't have "(the he realizes something )"mumma who is he?"

Ahana:(Ahana looks at Neil who nods )"Baby you remember you always wanted to meet your dad."

Ansh:"yes"

Ahana:"he is your dad from now okay"

Ansh:"new papa?"

Ahana:"yes "

Ansh:(to neil)"You won't leave me and mumma right "

Neil:(look at Ahana then at Ansh )"no baby "

Ansh:"you will play with me , come on sport day with me and even watch movies with me"

Neil:(smiles)"yes "

Ansh:"Thank you new papa"(he said as he kisses Neil's right cheek)

Neil:"Okay now be a good boy and seat down at the back and buckle you seat belt "

Ansh:"okay are we going somewhere ?"

Neil:"yes"(Ahana helps Ansh settle down in the back then wears her seat belt as well. They head to Aryan and Naira school which is 10 mins from Ansh's school )

At Naira and Aryan school...

Neil:"you guys sit. I'll get them and come"

Ahana:"okay "(Neil goes out while Ahana turns to see Ansh smiling )"what happened baby. Why are u smiling ?"
