"Alright," Biana said. "Do you guys understand?" The friends had all gathered in a circle under the twinkling lights. Biana has just finished explaining the game. They would be drinking elixirs that would completely change their appearances and voices. The goal was to be the first one to figure out who was who. The winner was promised an entire box of mallowmelt.
"How long are we doing this?" Sophie asked hesitantly. Biana grinned.
"Until someone figures out everyone's identities." She responded. Keefe cheered.
"Mallowmelt, here I come!" Tam rolled his eyes.
"You sure about that, Hunkyhair?" Keefe smiled smugly, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Yep! I got you guys completely figured out!"
"I'm not sure how I feel about that," Linh admitted. Dex looked like he agreed. Meanwhile, Sophie was stressing. An entire box of Della's mallowmelt? How could she resist?
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to start," Sophie declared. She was going to win this.
"There's that adorable competitive side we all love!" Keefe exclaimed. Sophie felt her face warm. Ugh, why did she have to blush so easily? Stupid face.
"Okay, while you guys were busy being the mature teenagers you are," Biana said suddenly. "I sorted the elixirs. Everyone has a pile in front of them. We drink on three." Sophie looked down, and gulped. Five bright bottles sat in front of her.
"One," Biana said. Sophie picked up the first elixir, a bright green bottle, and uncorked it.
"Two," Fitz and Linh joined in.
"Three!" Sophie raised the bottle to her lips.
"FOR MALLOWMELT!!!"
