I hadn't planned on getting involved with anyone or anything at the party. It had been a long day of hard work in preparation for the upcoming tour and writing a new song. I had just wanted to relax, and let loose a little. I was sitting about 10 feet from the girl and her dodgy looking boyfriend. I could sense something was off about him so I kept a very close eye on the two of them.
That's why when I saw the boy drop his drink on the floor, shattering glass everywhere, and force his lips onto the girl, i was first on the scene, pulling him off her. The girl had frozen in shock, and fell backwards onto a, luckily, soft armchair. I was screaming in his face, telling him how wrong he was and how much I despised him. Soon security was there, I quickly explained what I saw and they said they had it from there.
I turned to the girl.
"It's ok baby, it's ok. Did he hurt you? Are you alright?"
The girl wasn't responding, she was just staring blankly into my eyes. I knew I couldn't just leave her, so I picked her limp body up and put her over my shoulder, and left.
I was tired and my feet took over, carrying me and the girl home.
"I'll take care of her tonight, and then drop her home tomorrow." I said to myself. She clearly needed someone to take care of her. I unlocked the door and walked in to my house, shutting it behind carefully and quietly. Finneas and my parents were asleep. Pepper wagged her tail at me when I came in but for once I ignored her and carried the girl upstairs. I placed her on my bed and looked at her properly. She had passed out, probably from shock. Her brown hair was a mess and her mascara had run. I wiped off the little makeup she was wearing, and made sure she was comfortable, rearranging pillows and blankets, covering her in the quilt.
Then I sighed and lay down on the floor, covering myself with an oversized hoodie. I was asleep almost immediately.
