-Hiccup's pov-
I couldn't help but smile that day. All my mind wandered to was her. Her smile, her hands, her personality. Everything about her was angelic, perfect, beautiful.

Limping hastily across the muddy paths into my hut, I scan quickly around the room,
Left to right, right to left, my eyes finally landing on a jewelled ring, dragon promise ring, I had decided to name it, and scooping it carefully yet quickly off the side, I sprinted up the stairs to the cozy bedroom above, where I found her, getting some shut-eye.

A few hours passed and she hadn't woken up, and a few naps later, I was ready to call it a night and was prepared to get some shut-eye myself, when a panicky but tired voice rang out from the bed, and a small torso jolted upright, screaming my name.

"Hiccup! Hiccup! Where are you? Don't leave me again! I don't wanna go!" I rushed to her side, cooing comforting words back, cradling her like a baby in a cot.

"I'm here. Don't worry y/n. I will never leave you. I can't imagine a life without you in it and I don't want to. Don't worry," rocking gently back and forth, I felt her arms wrap around me and a quiet voice spoke clearly from my side.

"I'm sorry about that."

"Don't be. I'm here for you. I get them too,"

"You do?"

"Yh. I'm back there, on the ship, watching you burn and being tossed into the sea by d/n. I can't help you cause when I try, the fire seems to keep you out of reach," she sighs deeply.

"Why did it have to happen?"

"Everything happens for a reason. It's just a matter of perspective." It felt wrong to give her the ring now, now she was so shaken from her nightmare. She nodded into my side, still shaking a little.

"Why were you waiting at my side?" She suddenly speaks, words fragile and tender.

"I... I wanted to give you this, but didn't want to wake you," I held up the ring, a silver base and a glass top, holding petals, moss and leaves inside, with pigments of natural colour jotted here and there. "I like to call it a dragon promise ring, and I want you to have it, as a promise i'll... love you... for as long as eternity, essentially." She looked up and her moon-like eyes twinkled in the star light, face lit with joy.

"I love it." I smile widely and she places her hand on my chest and leans into me again. "I love you."

I had a name-changing ceremony that afternoon. It was an ancient Berkian privilege, for when a Viking turns of age, he, she, or they can either choose to keep his/her/their name, or change it. Christina Geyos L/n chose to change.
I clutched an ancient piece of parchment with my script written neatly into it in my left hand, and y/n's soft hand in the right whilst we walked up the muddy cobbled street to the great hall.
There was happy chattering and laughter and I noticed Dagur and Heather across the room, tears cascading down as they gazed upon the mysterious twin in their midst.
-y/n's pov-
I nudged Hiccups arm and pointed to Heather and Dagur, giggling quietly. He chuckled sending the butterfly's into a frenzy in my stomach, and I smiled happily, dragging Hiccup over to talk to them.

"Hiccup! Brother!" Dagur Teddy Bear hugged Hiccup, and I swore I heard the faintest crack of a rib, hugging my twins gently and smiling widely.

"Excited? Big deal getting a name change!" Heather squealed.

"Yeah!" I grinned more broadly that ever as Christina looked embarrassed at the attention of Me, Heather and Astrid, all looking cheerfully at one another. Strong arms wrapping around me, I turned to realise that Dagur and Hiccup had stopped to turn questioningly at us giggling, making me giggle harder.

A majestic horn blew loudly in our ears, making my head ring in protest.

"It's starting!" Hiccup yelled happily, sprinting to the front, clasping the ornate scroll and leaving us all to watch in awe.
                        ***
Clanging helmets and tankards rang round the hall, and Grey, formerly named Christina, danced down the isles after downing her fourth tankard of the finest cider the Viking barbarians could offer for the celebration.
Everyone was rosy cheeked and grinning broadly as members of the crowd bounced to their feet and moved their feet like dragon in shoes.
All I could feel was a feathery sense of relief, that I was free once more, the alcohol having rid my mind of all worry's and pain I had been plagued with the past few rainy days. Hiccup grinned rosily at my side, fingering the hint of his ornate inferno, carved with Vikings and encrusted with dragon scales, both Light Fury and Night Fury alike.
Eyes glimmering in the glare provided by a lantern hanging on the ancient pillar to the right of our bench, a gleam of mischief stole over his handsome features for a split second, before he grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the 'dance floor ' beside the bards blasting their songs of ancient Vikings and ferocious beasts from the depths of the sea, clasping boats in their mighty mouths, eating Vikings whole. He finally stopped next to Grey, and pulled me round so I span quickly, and grabbed my waist, seconds before I hit the cobbled floor. I stared up at him and smiled devilishly, eyebrow twitching in a 'like this see you try' kind of way, before he pulled me up again and swung me round to face the crowd laughing cheerily.

I noticed Grey had taken our place next to Astrid, and had gotten very close, chatting her up with what I assumed was her famous pick-up lines, as Astrid giggled, blushing beet red. Hand around her waist, finger In her hair, I saw them lean together and press their lips, kissing each other passionately. Expected.

I span back round and pulled Hiccup off the dance floor into a narrow corridor off the side of the great hall. I knew this lead to the kitchen, but all the village were at the feast, so it had been left completely alone. Perfect.

"What-" was all he could say before I pushed him to the wall and kissed him, as passionately as Grey and Astrid, pouring all the unsaid words into mouth movements and slow breaths through my nose. I felt him smile and clench my hand tightly, rings clattering together. I smiled back, and let go of his hand. He groaned quietly in displeasure from the lack of contact and warmth my hand provided, but I shut him up by running my hands through his mousy brown hair and pushing closer to him. It was perfect. The moment was prefect.
Until I heard the clattering of footsteps and heavy breathing.
