Part 9

'Joshua, Octavia breakfast' I yell for the hundredth time as I try to feed a fussy Derek his breakfast, he's making such a mess ill have to change his clothes again and were already late, stupid phone for dying and making us all late, thank god I heard Derek crying and woke up otherwise god knows how late we'd have been.

'We're here' Tavia chirps taking a seat next to a half asleep josh.

'It's about time, we're so late, can't believe your dad didn't wake me up' I grumble, Blake had a meeting at 6am this morning, so he was most likely out the house by five thirty. He probably didn't wake me up thinking my alarm would go off in half an hour, but no my damn phone died.

'Mommy' Josh whines, stealing my attention from trying to pry Derek's mouth open.

'Yeah love' i answer.

'I'm tired' he tells me pouting, 'I know baby, but you've got to go to day-care and I've got to go to school.' I tell him gently, he looks adorable with his hair everywhere.

'Okay' he says huffing.

'Right guys hurry up and eat you breakfast, I'm going to quickly change Derek and then we'll go, okay?' I say walking upstairs, not really giving them a chance to reply.

Forty minutes later and I'm in school ready for another boring Wednesday, after an excruciating lesson of AP calculus I have double AP world history with Blake, awesome I get to watch Brooke and her desperate cheerleader sluts stare at Blake and fantasise things that will not ever happen. I guess it's pretty funny watching how uncomfortable Blake gets and how he ignores every flirt thrown his way.

It's already five minutes into the lesson and he's not here, strange he's never late. I send him a quick text 'hey where are u?' I wait a while and instead of a text i get a call from him.

'Hey Blake' I say quietly, though I'm sure half the class is probably eavesdropping.

'Hey love' he replies as usual

'What's up?' I ask, trying to indirectly ask him why he's not in class, but I can't say that.

'Don't freak out' he tells me cautiously.

'Why?' I ask totally freaking out on the inside.

'Just promise you won't freak out'

'I promise I won't, now what's up?' I ask him absolutely worried out of my mind right now.

'I got into a totally minor car accident.' He says casually.

'WHAT?' I scream on the phone, to which i get a few weird looks.

'But I'm fine; I've just been checked out of the hospital and I'm on the way home.' He tells me reassuringly, not going to work.

'Who's driving?' He better not be driving, if he's had to go to the hospital he must have gotten hurt.

'Babe my car's fucked, I'm taking a cab home, but I'm fine, you don't need to worry.' Oh I'm going to worry.

'Okay, love you, see you at home.' I say as calmly as I can, stupid idiot!!

'Love you too Lyn.' He says cutting off the call.

So after a full day of worrying, I pick the kids up and finally head home. Blake's fast asleep when I go to check up on him and he has a nasty bruise on his face, he's not fine, you can tell just by looking at him.

The next day he insists on going work, much to my dismay so I force him to stay at home. But on Friday I reluctantly let him go, so after yet again worrying about him all throughout the morning I pay him a visit during lunch.
