The next few days were a blur. She had moved into the Hecate cabin. There was a very mean ferret that just...layed there. It mostly stayed with the cabin counselor, like it was her pet. There was a bookcase filled with all the magic books and in the basement, there were potions and chairs to lunge in as you read one of the books.

She'd gotten into a routine. Christine taught her about the Greek myths and sword fighting. Hope was still trying to get the hold of the new tactics that camp brought to the table. Hope didn't mind it. She, in fact, welcomed the challenge. She was getting sick of the same stances and routines from home. Training on the Jolly Roger was better and gave her a different setting but it was still with the same people, with the same tactics. She did archery with one of the Apollo campers, Kayla. She still had a lot to learn about it and practice.

Hope didn't really fit in. Or, she didn't feel like she did. Her powers were different and she just felt like an outcast. She really wanted to go home but she couldn't, not without Chiron's permission. The only upside was Christine. They were becoming fast friends and spent a lot of their time sword fighting. When Hope felt like she needed to be alone she went to the lake to think. She usually fidgeted with a bracelet her dad had given her or the bracelet that held her weapons.

Since she was trying not to let on too much about her town, she didn't show her powers and she could tell the kids in the cabin really wanted to see what they were. She was currently on her bed, reading one of the many books on the bookshelf. Well, trying and failing to read. Her mind kept wandering and thinking back to her family and friends. She just wanted to be home, in any of her family members' homes and just...watch netflix with Robin and Alice or sword fight with her dad on his ship while her mom watched. Or try potions with Regina and Zelena. Something. She hated this feeling. She looked up and saw that no one was in the cabin and she tried it. She knew it was risky but she had to be sure. She thought of a time that made her seething with anger, a time where she saw Conner. She extended her hand and watched it burst into flames. She had magic here? Fuck. This is going to be so much harder than she originally thought it was going to be. She extinguished it quickly, not wanting anyone to see

One of her half-brothers, Dean, walked further into the room "No one in the cabin can do that..how'd you learn that?" "Learn what?" "Learn how to create fire with your hand. No one here can do that. How'd you learn?" Hope knew she had to confess. She couldn't think of a lie. She wouldn't tell him everything but...some things she had to. "My mom taught me" "What else can you do?" Hope sighed. She didn't want to tell him but she knew he would pressure her and she didn't want that. She let a bolt of electricity hit the wall, then teleported next to him, teleported back, and teleported a book into his hands. "I can do more but not here. And it takes too much energy for me to do it..." "Yeah but this is awesome!" He exclaimed, his face lighting up a bit "No one knew you had magic and you have all these awesome powers!!" Hope regretted everything. She shouldn't have done that...now he was going to tell everyone and everyone would ask her questions. She teleported the book to her hands again and opened it, going to the page she left off on. She started reading, trying to make him know that she didn't want to talk. He, of course, decided that they should talk and went to go over to her. "What's wrong?" "Nothing" she said, trying to make him go away. "You got all quiet all of a sudden. Clearly something's wrong" "Nothing is wrong." Just that I might've told you something that could endanger my town, no biggie. She put the book down and left, going to the ocean.

Her feet met the hot sand and she felt as if she was home. All her troubles melted away. She breathed in the smell of the salt water and happiness filled her lungs. She sat down, close enough away that her feet got wet but far enough not much else did. She started to think about what to do when she heard her name being called, but quietly. It sounded like her dads.. She tried to follow it but then realized it was coming from her necklace. She picked up the shell that was tied around her neck with a leather string and put it up to her ear. "Hope?" She heard her dad say. "Dad?" She asked, confused. What the hell was this necklace? "Are you okay?" "Yeah..." She trailed off, contemplating telling him what just happened. "What happened? Did you get hurt?" "No I'm fine..but someone saw me using my powers and now knows most of my powers. And people keep asking me how I know how to fight with a sword and i'm running out of excuses...what do I do?" "It's fine. You can tell whoever you want" Emma spoke up. "Wait...why?" "They told us about the camp. It's safe. There are people like you..you just need to trust them" her mother said. "I don't think you should be giving me a lesson on trusting people mom" She said, the smirk evident in her voice. She let go of the necklace and went back to her cabin, happy she didn't have to hide who she was anymore.
