Chloe's POV

This week was bizarre. I have been ignoring him for the past few days and every time it just gets harder. I just am not able to convince myself to gather the courage to face him. It's awkward because first he's my boss and second, we do not have any relationship other than being professional colleagues. And that kiss made everything more complicated.

I wanted to talk about this to someone as soon as possible but that one person whom I talk to isn't available at the moment. Claire had some work regarding her new project because of which she's been busy the entire week and I don't want to disturb her. Obviously if I tell her that I kissed my boss she'd lose it and cancel all her work for me but I don't want to divert her attention, for now at least.

But I had to distract myself as well and for that, the lunch date I planned with Austin came to my mind. At the moment he's the best escape mechanism. Because I couldn't hangout with him last weekend we again planned our date, well not a date but a simple lunch together.

He insisted on picking me up but I already felt bad enough after canceling my plan, so I asked him not to pick me up, even though he wasn't mad at all. Also because he sent me the address of a restaurant that I haven't been to, I was pretty excited to meet him.

It was a bright sunny day. I wore a white cropped tank top and sky blue baggy jeans with my frost white sneakers. It was a hot day and comfy clothing is all I prefer. I got ready soon and Austin sent me the location of the place which wasn't very far from my place. After getting ready, I quickly picked up my car keys leaving the house.

I've always had a special love for cars and it was a major reason why I learnt how to drive. Being able to drive your own car made me feel independent and more confident which is something every person should develop in their personality. Working at a young age surely helped me grow as a human and also committed to leading a life on my own, making decisions.

Obviously every choice you make doesn't always benefit you but these little mistakes help us become a better version of ourselves which is growth on it's own. It's a way through which you get to know what you truly are made for, your true interest, which shapes your personality according to your priorities.

And it all takes a little courage and patience to make your life something you want it to be.

Tracking the location I reached a beautiful restaurant which seemed sort of traditional, that old vibe made it stand out more than usual places. It wasn't long when I saw Austin standing outside the entrance door. He was wearing a white t-shirt and denim jacket with black jeans and sneakers. Can't ignore the fact that his radiant smile can put anyone in a better mood and he looked so cute.

I parked my car and as he saw me moving towards him, he tilted his head smiling a little. He was glowing in the sunlight and his beautiful brown locks just added onto his handsome looks. A smile automatically comes to my face when I see him.

"Hello ma'am." he said, bowing, making me chuckle.

"Hello sir." I said I was copying his actions.

He then opened the door for me and said "please ma'am." I laughed and walked inside.

The place had an old aesthetically pleasing vibe. The walls were dark brown and even then the place was glowing and the aroma of amazing food just made it even better. I smiled, inhaling the natural scent of the place when Austin tapped my shoulder gesturing me towards the corner table. We got seated and he ordered the food because I had no idea about the food, while he claimed to be an expert.

"If I don't like the food, be ready to be hit by a plate." I said folding my arms sitting back.

"Oh damn." He said, acting shocked.
